The ridiculous setting, the "annoying" characters (actually never felt they were annoying because I just laugh about it. This is comedy anyway so a lot of things are just exaggerated for laughs, which is why I am so confused why some of y'all are ANGRY ), manager yeo's frustration and reaction is what makes this story so funny. Maybe you work in a office job too or something so you strongly relate to manager yeo's frustration but keep in mind that this is a FICTIONAL COMEDY MANHWA not real life! Laugh and enjoy! Why does it bother you so much that people are getting annoyed by what the author meant to be annoying? What you're saying is like saying, 'It's a horror movie, so it's fiction, it's meant to be scary! Why are you scared?' or, 'It's porn! It's fictional sex! Why do you find it hot?' Read the comments, people complained that reading this is SO stressful & frustrating, even the translator herself was confused by the negative reaction because she just thought this was a funny manhwa that would make people laugh.

And if people are getting so angry, frustrated and stressed reading this manhwa then they should stop, they complain so much about it when the easy solution is to just stop reading! Relating to the protagonist is fine but what's the point of torturing yourself to read something you hate? There are plenty of other mangas that might be more enjoyable to them, so what's wrong with suggesting them to go away? Or should I encourage them to continue reading a manhwa that's stressing them the hell out and also making them unreasonably angry ?

And that jung jong shil girl (short blond hair with glasses) is similar to bae yoonkyung (drama writer). Both are fake and steal other people's boyfriend. Jongshil pretends to be innocent and acts victimized and stole hyeri's boyfriend. Yoonkyung impersonates hyeonseo and sabotaged his relationship....both are despicable...wonder what jongshil's ending will be like
A few chapters back I got a little confused but the new update cleared things up a lot for me. Originally read this thinking it's gonna be a cute fluffy story but now we've got murder! Still love this manhwa tho, the plot twists makes it very interesting.
I like how absurd the story is and manager yeo is such a lovable character! I find those unrealistic situations to be really funny, especially manager yeo's face when she's pissed off/disgusted. of course I feel bad for manager yeo but this is just a fictional story after all and comedy too, so I'm not gonna take this too seriously. If this kind of comedy make you feel genuinely frustrated rather than make you laugh, maybe it's time to move onto something else more enjoyable?
Just give up if you're so impatient and hate the extras so much. You guys aren't even paying for anything but act as if sensei owes you guys, even have the nerve to tell her to stop being "lazy"? Who are you to make such demands? She's a human after all and we don't know what's going on in her life, she's allowed to take breaks if she wants to. I've seen other artists take 5+years breaks before because of personal issues. "The other mangas I read have faster updates!!! She not working hard enough!!!" To be honest some yaoi mangas don't even get updates. They're just stopped or
dropped or whatever for who knows how long.
But people are complaining like this has never happened before.
Also VF isn't a "mainstream" manga like attack on Titan or Naruto. She probably doesn't get paid as much, and by what I hear her life's been pretty difficult lately.
Honestly, the complaints are purely misdirected. If the complaints are of any value, it should be toward the publishing company. They're the ones releasing her 'mediocre work' and allowing her to take 'breaks'. So bitch on them for hiring 'lazy mangakas'.
Though in my opinion, regardless of that, she's doing fantastic work. I can only be awed by the quality of the final product in the tankobons, redraws and all, which is why she went on a hiatus to begin with. Then there were all the extras, she also worked on the novel etc. I'm not so sure it was that much about getting a break, plus she still worked on Crimson Spell. She just wanted to focus on other stuff than the main story while polishing volume 8.
And let's stop comparing her to other mangakas. On top of having only a few rescue assistants she calls when in critical need, she just takes much longer to draw and with overall the drawings are much more detailed. She's a flawed human who does fantastic work, which lets her survive in this sea of mangakas who live like machines with up to 8 assistants and only a few hours a week of free time when it's not zero. Which is not a lifestyle someone sane should wish another human to have.
What a bunch of self entitled assholes :/ a korean manhwa I read a few years back got abruptly discontinued and I thought the author simply dropped it...turns out it was because she actually passed away. She was ill for some time already :( So just because there isnt any official public announcement doesn't mean they aren't going through some things in life. Lots of people prefer to keep their personal life private too so there are probably plenty of things we might not actually know.
