do y’all ever get that feeling where a story is so devastating that you can’t even bring yourself to cry, yet your heart aches so much that tears just don’t feel like enough?? i had countless moments where i had to take a break just to recollect myself because WHAT WAS THAT. the story buildup is genuinely PEAK, and paired with THAT ART STYLE!? i just KNOW i struck gold with this one. every second spent reading it was absolutely worth it.
+ that suicide note/poem genuinely shaped my entire reading experience. it hit me in a way i can’t even begin to explain, and everything felt so much heavier after that. some pieces of writing don’t just make you sad; they leave an ache that stays with you long after you’ve finished reading. this was one of them.
okay, the first few chapters were lowkey boring, but once I got to the middle, especially around s2, IT GOT SOOOO GOOD. LIKE, I ACTUALLY HAD TO LOCK IN GUYS, TRUST THE PROCESS, I’M SO SERIOUS! but then, after a few more chapters, it started feeling like a snoozefest again thankfully, as it got closer to the end, it managed to redeem itself a little. the pacing was definitely all over the place, but when it was good, IT WAS GOOD.
still waiting for the side stories tho
the boring part was when all they seemed to do was have s3x like, don’t get me wrong, i’m not complaining about the smut, but at some point, i started craving actual plot and character development. GIVE ME STORY PROGRESSION, EMOTIONAL DEPTH, SOMETHING TO HOLD ONTO because the potential was THERE, and i wanted more than just the two of them ending up in bed every other chapter.
fuck it.
jo deserves FAR BETTER than this anyway…
I’ll bury this piece as if it never even existed. Not because it’s bad, don’t get me wrong, it’s a masterpiece, but because of the excruciating feelings it has left me with. The heaviness in my heart, the disappointment, and the feeling of having been betrayed by my own expectations. I went into this story blindly without any background whatsoever, relying solely on the synopsis here on this site, which led me to believe that Ian would eventually choose Jo. But alas, I was wrong.
i need a fluffy school life bl after this, and a smoke while im at it hahaaayysss

i still remember discovering this back in 2020, when it barely had 30+ chapters. and here i am now, already in college, finally picking up where i left off. i stopped reading because life got too serious, but now, after all these years, i’m finally back to a place where i used to find happiness. it feels a little nostalgic, doesn’t it?
Me too, man. Me too.
Me too, man. Me too.
oh my god, literally same. when i first picked it up it had like 27ish chapters, but i liked it so much i used to count the days until the next chapter. feels so surreal to see it had ended one year ago...
