As much as the author wants to say this is story is meant to portray a realistic relationship, I see it with only one eye. On one, hand how hard is it to be in a relationship with someone who "isn't able to properly show emotions", I assume very difficult. Yet, why are we still making media with people who are afraid to hold hands with someone who was, quite frankly, balls deep in them not that long ago? In a time where we're the freest we've ever been in expressing our truths and realities of loving who we love, and at the risk of sounding like an overly supportive parent, are Koreans this afraid of being out?

I've given some thought over what it is I've said, and I know it seems polarizing, but despite Dojae being the adorable brick wall that he can come to be in this relationship, he is free of the filter that holds Euntak back from being a tolerable lgbt character who makes sense. We can talk about it...

I'd say it's more about how Euntak's character himself just fell through in every chapter. Dojae had more point in saying Euntak was eager to date him yet was made to be a character who had too many to lose and couldnt prioritize a boyfriend. Plus i got so frustrated just seeing him talk out of his ass about being accused against his relationship with Hyobin or making it all about Dojae "not understanding anything". Anyway, he's just as emotionally selfish as the author wanted him to be but worse than he was in pt1. The only redemption to his character i liked was in ch57 haha

(But irl, Korea does still have that polarizing view on same sex despite the amount of rising pride among them, too. An idol who stepped out of the closet was literally assaulted. A show on lgbtq couples was doxxed as much as it was fought for. And homoeroticism is in the blurred lines of fetishization and actual respect or normalcy as heteroeroticism is)

Ah, and as the author executed Euntak's "trauma", he was also affected by the college post that went on, altho i feel like it needed more oomf to it if it was meant to show that he had so much to lose given how easygoing he is early on with Hyobin or his attraction with Dojae.

Honestly tho, the author did a better job on Dojae's character esp when he finally spoke up on how he really did keep saying he didnt understand soley coz he didnt want to acknowledge Euntak's insecurities or other inhibitions. Euntak...well... he was kinda self aware but vaguely. Lmao

I can say I wholly understand where they're coming from with Euntak having a lot to lose if his secret came out, but it's like the author forgot that he's a character who has been attracted to other guys, has actively pursued other guys, Dojae included and been heartbroken by other guys... Doaje included, lol.

That apology panel should be shamed, I feel Doaje was very clear about not understanding why he couldn't tell his mom he was in love with a person who was not a family friend, cousin or anything in his house looking nearly fucked. If anything Euntak should have been the one with a big panel and teary eyed apologizing to our adorable brick wall... He should have said thanks and dipped, but that's just me...

As much as I am actually enjoying this manhua it's crazy reading this and thinking to myself, "man imagine being FULLY attracted to someone at first sight, pursuing them and getting heartbroken by them after a three date period, getting back together, and then telling them don't hold my hand, don't tell anyone anything" must be rough... Also all this time I thought South Korea was more progressive than Japan but I guess they're still at lvl 1, oh boy...
