the plot isnt explained well, especially her past life, but the FL is awesome! never needs nor wants no man to save her. she's smart, bold, strong, and actually has physical abilities that she uses.
unfortunately FL deserved way better than the rest of the cast lol her whole family sucked, her ML was meh, and it seems like she was the only one with brains when it came to politics and tbe imperial family (from what u can tell at least, the plot skipped wayyyyy to many details).
regarding her revenge, i think she decided to let go of it after ML tells her the best revenge is to live well in the earlier chapters?
but ya the authors didnt explain rly anything so u kinda just had to ignore most details lol i swear ive seen a few vertical dramas exactly like this tho but with weaker/male-dependent written FLs.
i always come back to this one despite the killer cliff hanger a cdrama of this would eaaaat
she looks like a child and he looks like 39 he's hot but like ?? why did they make her look so young
ok but the way they draw (and write) the ml is ☆ ✧ദദ( ˶^ᗜ^˶ ) his eyes especially
common sense fl? intelligent fl? sensical fl? self-made fl? smart fl? communicative fl? fl in power and she uses it? gays, the bar may be in hell but that doesn't mean this FL isnt still awesome omg!
this is like the biggest breath of fresh air, a FL that actually has a brain and makes normal, smart decisions. she also explains everything upfront leaving no room for misunderstandings. she works hard and is both dedicated to and good at her job, she's promoted to a high position and actually utilizes it well instead of relying on plot armor. she has knowledge of 'the book' this world is supposedly set it and instead of depending on it or making bizarre decisions to push a plot bc of it, she THINKS. she's aware her actions change things. she doesn't let shit slide, she has normal human reactions to stuff and people and aghhhh im just so relieved manhwa creators can actually create real human being type characters. maybe ive just been mired in slop lately but man oh man is has been a relief.
the imperial family is a little wonky - theres no way a commoner could have brought the empress into court and ended up executing her on heresay (how they could ahve raided her chambers is bizarre. shes the Empress. only the emperor could have a approved that and he djdnt lol) lol just for one example, there were a couple other things too- but it's not a huge issue thus far.
looks like ita gunna take divine intervention (literally) at this point to get these two together

tbh all their problems would b solved if they banded together and killed the chancellor and the king, instead of wasting time in these pointless wars. i keep rhinking that like everytime that dang chancellor tries to kill ML, or hits Cp, like BRO guys just kill him in secret it'd be easy if the 3 of them planned it. and then kill the king cuz he's also evil af. aghhh

this was good??? better than the other ones ppl say this is simialr to. MC has a bunch of good friends, good family, yhey dont focus on BS villians too much to increase ur blood pressure, the creepy annoying potential love interest got yeeted from the story for now lol, AND the gender bender is like well done - not too much creepy misogynistic/transphobic shit, MC doesn't act any different and is actually very comfortable in any gender presentation cuz like who gaf yk idk it was just like so irrelevant i liked it alot .
sad this got axed, i could see mc and friends adventures being more interesting and fun.
i could see ppl critique how lucky mc is, and i would agree, but tbh they don't do it in the typical way these stories do it - with the most obnoxious, arrogant, SMIRKY mc lol. mc is lucky but spreads the luck and not for any selfish reasons like using the ppl around or whatever AND mc is also hardworking instead of just riding on good fortune and gains from others.
all in all, very low-stakes, chill story. biggest downside is it got axed way too soon :(
