Guys I wrote a comment in 2019 that I've following this manga for ages and I don't mind.
But now it's 2025 and I'm just afraid I will die before knowing the ending haha. Anyways, will let it marinate and come back later.

BUT the author recently announced that she wishes to finish Skip Beat in 60 volumes. So we have maybe 7 volumes left if she managed to wrap it up. So.... 5 years??
I just saw somewhere that the ending will be open-ended. Why are Japanese writers so obsessed with open endings? I'm so tired of reading stories for years, only to end up with an open ending.
I really hope we get a proper ending for this one at least.
The novel which the manga is based on is still ongoing. For this arc, there’s a character whose ending is open ended but the overall ending for this arc isn’t open.
I didn't talk about this arc tho?! And I know the novel is still ongoing that's why I said "hope we get a proper ending". It's just the author, Hyuuga, has mentioned that the story is not intended to have a definitive, closed-off ending.

I actually follow a YouTube channel called Akira, she reads the novel and delivers to us latest events, also people discuss in the comments that the author Natsu originally wanted to end it in v12 as open-ending with a kiss. However, she scrapped this idea to them develop more in character and story, still that doesn't mean she will not let it end as open-ending. Anyways here are the links if you would like:

I mean this doesn't seem like the type of story that'd need a definitive ending. Maomao doesn't have a proper goal, one thing that's driving the story. If most of the characters get somehow ending, that's fine enough

Interesting ! The characters and the story plot everything is so refreshing.
Also I like how the author is showing how much youtubers games channels can influence their fans to the point of ruining someone's life, dont get me wrong I love youtubers specially the gamers ones but their fans can go really crazy sometimes⊙︿⊙
Edit: the plot at the beginning was lit but now it is just confusing and boring..
I fall in love with this manga altho I hate the drama genre, guys who are supporting Kai doesn't seem to understand that karma hits him at the end, first he stole Kuu from Riku altho he knows that they are in love with each other, then he started to look at Ao who was Riku's gf.
Riku on the other hand is so Idiot that most of u dont get his stupidity, he's the type that women hate the most, still he is honest with his feeling and I think he is better with Ao more than kuu. Since Kuu needs someone who is smart to understand her feelings
I think Kuu is the character I dislike the most, the type who goes with the flow until things are so bad to fix, basically she had everything but courage to make differences, I pity her a lot.
Like I don't care anymore about his reason for abandoning the MC for 10 fxxking years, I don't like him even more that he is with Raim right now. Like father like son, I guess. Hope he is not the ml (my personal preference) （/TДT)/
