No Home/Homeless (Madness)
[1 year later]
They met in a small cafe, the kind where no one looked too closely at the table in the corner. Eunyung sat stiffly, clutching his bag, ready to say no to the offer of sharing rooms in college. Who says he was going to one? And why was Haejoon persistent? It has only been a year.
Haejoon sat there quietly then slid a folded paper across the table.
Eunyung’s eyes narrowed.
“…What is this?”
Haejoon’s expression remained calm, unreadable. “Adoption papers,” he said simply. No other explanation.
Eunyung blinked. “Wait… are you proposing to me? Do you… like me?” His voice rose slightly, half in fear, half in disbelief.
Haejoon didn’t flinch. Didn’t laugh. Didn’t smile. He just waited.
Eunyung exhaled sharply, covering his face with his hands. “You’re insane,” he muttered. And in the heat of the moment, in frustration and stubbornness, he signed. Just to spite him.
“I signed it. Are you regretting being my family now?” he asked, eyes still sharp, but trembling.
Haejoon’s faint smile widened, almost imperceptibly. He picked up the papers, already ready to submit them to the office.
Eunyung bolted from the table, chasing after him. “Why… why are you doing this? We were strangers. Why—?”
Haejoon stopped just long enough to glance at him. And then an honest smile. “Not anymore. We're brothers."
Eunyung stares. He was right before and he was right now: Haejoon is crazy, so crazy he even thought of adopting Eunyung. Who wants to be his family when his own threw him out? Well.
Apparently someone mad like Haejoon.

I finally sent the devs an email because I don’t have a single manga/manhwa restored in my lists even after both passes, and I wanted to clarify my situation.
Part of their response to my inquiry was: “We can only get the manga back if you rated or added tags when added manga to your list."
I’ve since sent a reply asking whether this basically means that for people who didn’t rate the manga/manhwa they added to their list (such as myself), they’re gone forever and can’t be restored. I’m still waiting for a reply, but I understand they’re probably dealing with a lot at the moment.
I just wanted to bring this up here in case there’s information about this that I’m not aware of. A few days ago I was told that non-rated manga are being done later. However, based on the devs reply, is there really no more hope for those of us that never rated any of the mangas/manhwas they read?
UPDATE:
Just for everyone's information this was the complete reply that I received from the devs (along with the part I shared earlier):
"I'm sorry, one of our data disk was crashed, we lost part of the data of users several days ago, but we still can restore part of the data from rating and tags. we can only get the manga back if you rated or added tags when added manga to your list"

Certified chronic re-reader.
• If you somehow ended up on my profile and found yourself reading this section, you now have a civic duty to look up and read the best manga of the decade: Kagurabachi. I'M SERIOUS GUYS, GO READ IT, NOW! IT'S AMAZING, DEFINITELY THE BEST NEW-GEN SHOUNEN!!
• What is Kagurabachi about, you might wonder? Well, it is a dark fantasy, action shounen manga, and to sum it up as accurately as possible, I shall quote a famous tweet; Kagurabachi is literally if "Oppenheimer had a son that was like 'I need to collect and disarm every single nuke in the world' but he kept getting jumped by dudes going 'Bro I loved your Dad so much, no one made nukes like him man'." IF THIS DOESN'T MAKE YOU EVEN A BIT CURIOUS ABOUT THIS MASTERPIECE, THEN I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WOULD!!
• I hate to sound like one of those annoying animanga fans that are like "erm akshually, the anime/manga gets better after episode 632/chapter 236," but honestly give Kagurabachi at least a fair try and read the first, the VS Sojo arc (chapters 1-18), OR try to read until the end of the second, the Rakuzaichi arc (chapters 19-44) since that's when the manga starts to really pick up the plot, and if you still don't like it, then oh well! At least you gave it a shot!
• Kagurabachi's biggest strengths:
+ two page spreads and panel work/composition that are very distinctive and beautiful
+ gorgeous artstyle that evolves with each new chapter
+ masterfully crafted action sequences and fight choreographies
+ simple but interesting power system
+ perfect blend of storytelling, heavy themes, comedic relief, character development, and hype moments/aura farming
+ all characters are written pretty realistically, all have their individual flaws and strengths, both the good and the bad guys
+ although there are fantastical/supernatural elements, the author already stated the core conflict of the story will be a human vs. human based conflict, so no hidden ass pulls/random plot twists such as "erm akshually, it was the aliens from planet Xyzytysel who were pulling the strings behind the scenes"
+ doesn't shy away from more serious topics, such as war and their consequences on both the civilians and the veterans who fought in it, creating and using weapons of mass destruction, the morality and ethics of genocide, etc.
+ SO MANY GORGEOUS WOMEN AND BEAUTIFUL MEN
+ reading Kagurabachi doesn't even feel like I'm reading a manga, it honestly feels more like I'm watching a movie, it's so fucking tenoí!
+ chill fanbase that is cool with fujoshis/fudanshis and shipping culture
• Every piece of fiction, no matter how peak it is or how much you subjectively love it, is not immune to criticism, and sadly Kagurabachi is no exception - here are some flaws you should be aware of:
× a lot less focus on and involvement of (most) side characters
× not enough down-time between arcs
× introducing characters with their full government names, occupation and cool designs only to kill them off literally the next chapter
× small nitpick, but some, especially important to the plot, characters get their names revealed WAY TOO LATE (looking at you, Hatshaku... mf was introduced in the 1st chapter, we've already reached triple-digit chapters and we STILL don't know his name)
Manga & other media that inspired Kagurabachi: Naruto, Ajin: Demi-Human, Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, AKIRA, western comics (Batman), western films such as Quentin Tarantino's films (ex: Kill Bill) & the John Wick franchise, video game Ghost of Tsushima
✍ Mangakas who have recommended Kagurabachi: Kishimoto Masashi (Naruto), Horikoshi Kouhei (My Hero Academia), Sano Yuto (Gokurakugai), Yasuda Kasumi (Fool's Night), NEO Shoco (Phantom Busters), Kishimoto Seishi (666 Satan)
CONTENT/TRIGGER WARNINGS FOR Kagurabachi: Violence, blood and gore, depiction of organised crime, torture, dismemberment, depiction of child abuse, human experimentation, depiction of child abduction, human trafficking, blackmail, child neglect, child abandonment, sibling abuse, depiction of suicide, attempted suicide, implied grooming, bullying and harassment, mention of attempted assault, depiction of and references to war and war crimes (genocide), depiction of corruption and government cover-ups, mild misogyny, depiction of psychological trauma and mental illnesses.
LOVE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO LOVE Kagurabachi SINCE I BEGAN TO READ IT. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD LOVE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE LOVE I FEEL FOR Kagurabachi AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT. FOR Kagurabachi. LOVE. LOVE.

My sigma male morning routine:
• wake up and read Kagurabachi
• shower and read GLs
• catch up on any important news missed through only the most FACTUALLY TRUTHFUL sources: daddy Elon Musk's X feed, the Daily Wire website and Asmongold's stream highlights whilst reading Kagurabachi
• go straight to the gym to grind while reading GLs
• no need to go to work; I get my income through passive means learnt at Hustlers University - running 30 different crypto sites and scamming gullible children and idiots all whilst reading Kagurabachi #multitaskingqueen
• lunch time!! chow down some Lunchly and wash it down with battery acid flavour Prime yum! + I read GLs because every meal is better with dessert
• put on some Family Guy funnies compilation as background noise while reading Kagurabachi
• put all my life savings on red while reading GLs
• lose all my life savings by not betting on black, also while reading GLs
• ragebait some kids online for the rest of the day while reading Kagurabachi
• tuck myself into bed to catch some Zs and read GLs (wink wink)
Hi, anybody here whose account was made in 2021 not have their lists back yet?
I was under the impression that they were restoring older to newer accounts, I've already seen accounts made in 2021 with lists back on their profile already but mine still hasn't come around I was wondering if anyone is having the same issue?
When the site just came back, I didn't quite know what was happening yet so I added one manhwa to my reading list (just one though). Could that be messing up with my account's list restoration?
08/01/2024: MGo was one of my safe spaces when I was struggling with mental health. The mangas/manhwas Ive read (and are still reading), and the people Ive met will always have a special place in my heart. I am all better now and I'm ready to pursue what life has ahead of me, and I think with that, I wont be active as much here anymore. I will still log in (very very) occasionally though to send recs and maybe respond to messages. THANK YOU EVERYONE! (✿◡‿◡)
