I had high hopes, got through 7 chapters, and had to go into the comments to see if I'm the only one feeling insane.
The people saying it feels like a fanfic are on point. No world building explained, no social hierarchy or even who tf is a part of the social scene is explained. Random new characters are being introduced and apparently they all act like best friends in 2 fucking panels. The og FL's brother leaves for some kinda mission and if they didn't convey that he's back by letter, that would have taken a while to come, I'd think we're still in the same fucking day MC came back from og FL's estate. Like what????
ALSO why tf did her 2 year trip end up in like 1 chapter???? I expected to see more of it than the first few days. Plus no way in he'll that ride from the circus to that orphanage took days. Like bffr SPARE ME.

10/10 I didn't think the side stories were going to make me cry like a little kid. Even the main story wasn't so heartbreaking. The author outdid themselves

I really don't understand why people like this so much. The power imbalance at the beginning is insane, if I were her, I would be afraid to refuse him because he can just be like eh, off with your head if you won't sleep with me. Also, why is she so damn meek and willing when she has a suspicion that he might have killed her father? It really makes her look unprofessional when she can't control herself or be firm with what she says. （￣へ￣）
I thought I was gonna like this because the premise looked interesting but what the hell man.
I don't like the MC. She's the typical stereotypical japanese MC who can't do shit- either protect herself, do normal daily tasks or even speak up.
And the ML-the rape elevator scene was so fucked, like. If it was CNC, fine, but this was typical assault and idk why the authors still love this trope so much.
The whole dynamic of their relationship just made me uncomfortable. I love smut but if the solution to everything is sex, it just makes the writing lazy and uninteresting. （￣へ￣）
