He wants to push his fiancé away because he either dosent like women and feels bad about lying to her, or he’s bi and dosent think she’d date a bisexual man (I think she would). just a theory, BUT I MIGHT BE ONTO SOMETHING!!!
That would be interesting but I feel like he's rejecting her because of his ambitions, and the fact that he'll leave her alone in the kingdom when he goes to Iridale
I think it's something more like him actually being poor or his brother putting his family on a huge debt and no one knows, BUT this manga has surprised me quite a bit so far, so I think it's definitely possible (and it would be really cool)!
I don't think that's the case, the hints we have show it's more likely due to his family, financial status, or background. That theory would probably align more with the Princess, and even then the hints are up to interpretation.
