Fushigi Yuugi was like one of the first animes I've ever watched, so I wanted to read the other priestesses stories. I gave up on reading this years ago because of that huge hiatus, but my god am I glad I came back. I love the characters here way more than the original story, and Uruki and Takiko's story makes me cry like a bitch everytime.
People in Korea and Asia (I'm asian) always get beautiful cats and dogs, and abandon them when they get older and stop seeing them as cute. I hate you, seriously don't even bother trying to own a pet if you can't even bother to give it true love. I hope people who are cruel to their pets or abandon them, never ever find love.

Totally, but she's naive with A LOT of trauma. It's expected that she would be this closed off as a person, with very little knowledge on how to treat others well. Obviously, a person's past doesn't excuse bad behavior, but you also gotta be realistic about people capabilities in their upbringings. She's learning, and becoming more honest as a person. That's good enough.
And she is questioning herself because of her feelings for a literal murderer who she is forced to be with.
