I just finished dreadful night and I'm looking for similar horror/mystery bl. Something where mc is smart or has a lot of specific knowledge that helps solve some kind of mystery. It'd be a plus if the relationship was like bada and doha where they're working together but mc is mostly the one making progress and figuring things out and the ml is there to be obsessive and kind of in the way but also protective and devoted to mc. I'm obsessed and really need something while I wait for side stories.

Just spent 2 days binging this and I wish I could go back and read it again for the first time this was so gooooood I loved how smart and resourceful and reliable bada was and the dynamic between him and doha. bada was basically the "brains" solving the puzzles and figuring out the game mechanics and doha was the "brawn" and dealing with the killer whenever he popped up. I'd say he contributed to gameplay too but he was mostly sabotaging bada and hiding things from him so not really lol. Doha was selfish and manipulative and I didn't fully trust him for most of the story and falling in love with bada didn't change that about him but him apologizing for dragging bada into the game and trying to use him to escape went a long way towards making me feel that doha really did care for bada. I'm really looking forward to the sides and seeing how Doha acts outside of the game. The others mentioned that doha was pretty normal in the beginning but became colder and more calculating through the repeated sessions and bada also says that he seemed like the nicest out of them but doha stated that that was just him making the most rational decisions so I'm wondering if doha was actually already kind of secretly a psychopath before the game started and was just hiding it from everyone until they were in a situation where it didn't really matter or if he just changed that drastically.

For a sec I thought the demon king was manato from zzz. Also super glad the demon kiddos are okay even if they're living in what looks like demon purgatory.

The whole "kids going to hell for dying and making their parents sad" thing is kind of ridiculous. Like what if a parent murders their child or is responsible for their death in another way the kid is still the one who's punished?

Love that scene of vidura calling for his archdemon bf and smirking while rosamel hugs him from behind such a power move but pls don't just send them home I need vidura to get some kind of justice even if they don't kill those 2.

I kinda liked this in the beginning but the whole "ml can choose to look like an adult but let's draw him with the face and body of a child during the sex scenes anyway" thing gave me the ick real bad. Like you couldn't make this exact same story but with the ml looking like an adult 100% of the time or at the very least when they're fucking?
