I lost them when they started living together. It's like both of them just lost it. Maybe it's the trauma but if the author wanted to show how they both suffered, I think the execution leaves much to be desired. And then, all of the sudden, BANG! They both want to go extreme. It just feels out of the place and contradicts the whole building of the story so far. At first I thought well: finally a good bdsm story. And yes, it's not easy with sadists and masochists, sm can indeed be a can of worms. But now, I don't know what to think anymore, except that the story was just... bombed. Too bad.

I feel like the rape might have been the only way the bottom would have realized that he was going too far if you consider the things he was doing before like he said he wouldn’t mind being beaten by a wooden chair leg. That can break bones. I also think it was a pivotal moment for both of them. The bottom now knows his limits and is able to respect himself more and the top has the opportunity to be honest and explore his own twisted side that is very similar in temperament to the bottom. The top just happened to understand it intellectually through someone else while the bottom is a bit more thick and had to realize he was going too far, far to the point of being self destructive first hand. The rape was pretty bad tho I won’t lie. While it was a bit extreme, it made sense as both of them are also extremist. If you really think about it, the bottom wouldn’t have stopped if it hadn’t been for an incident of that severity. He would have probably died at someone else’s hands.
No, I agree with you that rape had sense in the story. Although it was heavy to read, the story was consistent. But now it's difficult for me to follow. It's not that I don't understand what's going on. It's just that I think it's not written well, I feel like the quality of the storytelling is off.

I mean, the wants to resume their sessions but he's still having PTSD (the headaches). This part of the story was left unresolved, like it was left hanging, as if the headaches disapeared magically. In addition, we learn only now that the top is also someone who wants to break the other bottom, while absolutely nothing in the whole story up to now was not suggesting that might be the case. it's like introducing a completey new, strong element when you have other knots hanging unresolved. And in between all of it, zero communication and nothing important was happening at all. I understand what the author's intention was, and the idea was not bad (although I personally would prererred a different directon but that's a matter of taste), it's just that it was, imo, executed poorly. It's like having 20 Chechov's shotgun's o the wall and then putting on the 21st one, and it doesn't seem that anyone of them will be shot by the end of the story.

...It's rare to see an sm bdsm relationship depicted as well as in this webtoon. I see that a lot of people are not happy with the ending. I can't say the ending is bad but it does reflect, imo, a strange choice of the author. To end it with a trauma... So, here's my 5 cents. Trauma changes everything and regression is a very usual consequence. We've seen that the trauma of separation and loss hit the D so hard that he went into derealisation. And then, he spiralled down into smth toxic, as the relationship itself. D went into the desire to really hurt and s went into self harm. Btw, I don't think that D screaming about s being his possession and not allowing him to harm himself is particularlly strange or rare. I have met quite a few Dom(me)s in my life and I am yet to meet one who is not possessive about the sub they love. Also, in every relationship, bdsm or not, breaking off things without a proper conversation is hell and breaks people. And with Ds, there's always an issue of control. So, at the same moment, the top lost his loved one and all the control, his reality broke totally, only to realise that the bottom was (probably) going to end up killed. And that's one hell of a trauma. The way it was depicted here could give you a nice feel as to who is the person that ultimately has the power in the relationship.
I am not trying to say that the top was right to do the things that he did, he was not, he spiralled mentally and that's what trauma does to you. But it hit hard the sub as well. If falling into psychological (or moral) sadism is what happened to the top, regression into moral masochism is what I believe happened to the bottom. People who enjoy masochistic play do not enjoy self harm. No one enjoys self harm (and this comes from someone who used to self harm in their youth). It's a response to trauma, a coping mechanism.
So, at the end of the day, I think I can understand why the author depicted their relationship in the end as they did, I just can't fathom why did they chose to end the webtoon there. People say that the side stories would be even worse. We'll see. If that's true, what I will conclude for myself is that this story was not finished at the end. Yup, therapy would be needed but that is really a strange choice for an ending. Makes me wonder if the aithor lost their ideas or had to rush for some reason, or really wanted an anti climitic ending. If the latter is true, welp, it's one of a hell of an ruined orgasm for the readers.

No, I was referring to him pushing her buttons, provoking her and then letting her catch him and punishing him. He did that when they were kids, he did it when he returned the clothes to the other guy, he does it when he gets down on her in the last few episodes. At times she really is in control. At other times, he provokes her intentionally. And while he is aware when she is in power, it seems that she is not aware at all when he holds the strings. It's their game but I think that, at least for now, she is not aware of the real nature of the game. She doesn't understand the dynamic yet, it seems that he does. That's why it will be interesting to see how the story develops from here.
