Some people genuinely act like not liking an artstyle is a personal attack.
Just because YOU think a character looks good doesn’t mean everyone else has to agree. Art is subjective. People drop stories over artstyles all the time, so I don’t get why some fandoms get so defensive about it.
I once saw a post where people were naming manhwas they dropped because they disliked the artstyle so I joined in and mentioned “Swallow You Whole” and when I tell you the reaction was insane, suddenly I had people telling me to “just give it a chance” or acting shocked that I didn’t like the art.
Like… what do you want me to say? I just don’t like this author’s style. That doesn’t mean the story is bad or that other people can’t enjoy it. It’s literally just personal preference. But some people act like you’re objectively wrong or crazy for not finding a certain artstyle attractive and it’s so weird and honestly annoying atp
