uhhhh I know Ingrid and Isabelle look almost identical due to art style but could literally no one else recognize the difference????

Princess Isabelle (the King of Severus' new wife in place of Ingrid) is the one who slapped Regan. She's the one who made Regan accompany her during the festival. If you PAY ATTENTION, she has blonde hair + blue eyes vs. Ingrid with white hair + purple eyes.

Go reread it and you'll see that Isabelle slaps Regan & Ingrid defends him.

side note scrolling through the comments I can't believe no one else noticed this & just jumped to blaming Ingrid lol...I was confused at first but did a double take since it would've been SO out of character for her to slap him...anyways

Everybody here is so think I can’t even... they all find the characters so hateful when they can’t even follow the story. Idiots.

so essentially sakuma has an intense inferiority complex due to his past trauma from bullying. he does a 180 and tries to become a different person he can be proud but still has his inferiority complex-- once he meets tsukasa, the feeling of sexually dominating tsukasa (a reminder of his old self that he hated) gives him the feeling of superiority he's always craved. at the end, tsukasa tells him that he feels the "opposite", meaning he enjoys being dominated by sakuma and thus their interests align. b/c this is a transactional relationship where each character's twisted needs from past traumas are met by the other, the bartender points out it's not very stable and can end as soon as one partner meets someone who will help them overcome their past trauma. hope this helps explain things !!

No one's talking about a character that is a huge piece of shit so I just gotta call it as it is - Hugh is probably one of the least redeemable characters for me, despite his little stunt at the end. To take advantage of a woman who is blacked out/unable to provide consent is already horrible, but on top of that, he was conscious of the fact that she mistook him for Hanada. THAT. IS. RAPE. Anyways I'm aware that this was all just a plot device to add conflict to Hanada/Sakura's reconciliation but to take a realistic perspective, while Sakura is definitely culpable for leaving Hanada without communicating with him, being raped by Hugh is 100% not her fault.

she did try to communicate, he deleted her emails

I was referring to before she left Hanada :) It's understandable that she was feeling overwhelmed by Hanada and their relationship, but she did one-sidedly decide to leave to study abroad without attempting to consult Hanada.

Re-reading Tenzen Momoko's works always makes me appreciate how realistic and dimensional her characters and plotlines are. My only complaint (that's really just a compliment) is that there's never enough extras & I'm always left wanting to see more of the menial daily interactions between her characters.
