It felt like the author rushed the ending of the story, as if they ran out of ideas and could not find the right conclusion, so they ended it that way. From Chapter 1 to 70, Jaekyung went from a complete walking red flag to... still toxic, but at least slightly more self-aware. In the beginning, he treated Kim Dan like he was nothing more than a tool. No respect, no empathy, just using him because he could. It was honestly hard to watch. But as the chapters go on, you start to see cracks in his cold exterior. He gets jealous, starts to show care in his own messed up way, and you can tell he's confused by his own feelings. Still, that doesn’t erase how badly he treated Dan. Character growth? Maybe. But he has a long way to go. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
