okay so like it’ll be at least another 100 chapters depending how fast the arcs go by but it’ll probably be more around 150 (this is a very vague estimate) before the magyo make their appearance

it’ll be in the northern sea arc (don’t know if that’s the right name but it’s a variation of that) which is in like 4-6 arcs i think? there’s this arc (the beast palace arc), then the tang family arc, then the tournament arc, then the new sub-sect arc, and i think possibly the bandit arc but that may come after the north sea one (i also may be forgetting another arc but i think i got all of them). there’s an important antagonist introduced at the end of the sub-sect arc though and a lot of drama happens there (chung myung really shines with his battle-prowess and like a show of his current level at the time) and it’s really emotional so that’s something to look forward to! there are also two more main characters introduced in the arcs i mentioned :)

Isn't the Tang arc before the beast arc? It's been a while since I read the novel but yes, I kinda think this Beast Palace arc has several sub-arcs; Jo fam first, then the Tang (since Chung Myung got badly hurt after the challenge in Jo arc and only Tang fam could help him), and then the main arc, Beast Palace. I could be wrong though. That aside! ohhhhh the Tang arc, are we going to see 'him' or only given dark glimpses? Oh dear, another emotional damage.

And you mentioned two main characters. I kinda stopped around this arc and so I assume the other one was the Shaolin guy? or is it the ferret?

Also the tournament! Oh gosh I hope this season covers that tournament, I don't think I can wait for S3 :(((

Finally, the magyo. I have seen covers of the novel, 1700+ chs and is still on going. I have been curious; is the heavenly demon the ghostly pale guy who dressed like a king in that cover or someone else? I have read none of spoilers about that, there are so much things happened apparently (hence that 1700 chs) and I couldn't find it '-')

The tang family arc could totally be before the beast palace arc but I thought that it happened on their way back? I have no clue tbh I’m planning to reread the novel soon but other than some big stuff I can’t remember too much

By ‘him’ I’m assuming you mean Tang Bo? (If not feel free to say who lol) If so, he wasn’t one of the ppl I was referencing when I said the two main characters bc while he is still really important to the plot, he’s from chung myung’s past life so idk if I can count him as a main character when he’s technically only part of flashbacks and is dead even if he is central to chung myung’s character

I was talking about Tang Soso (daughter of the tang family) and Hye Yeon (not entirely sure if that’s how you spell his name but he’s the shaolin monk), both of which join chung myung and co (and technically the mount hua sect) and become part of the main group of protagonists! I completely forgot abt the ferret tbh but he was really funny LMAO

I believe in the north sea arc (this is like semi-major spoilers probably) the magyo were trying to revive the Heavenly Demon (Chun Ma(?)) who chung myung killed in his past life! I only got to around chapter ~500 (bc that’s all that was translated at the time) in the novel so all my knowledge of the arcs past the sub sect one (and the big fight at the sect near the end of it) come from spoilers too so I don’t entirely know if that’s who’s on the cover but it probably is if not, it’s probably jang ilso(?) not sure if I remembered his right but he’s a major antagonist I’m pretty sure lol

Yes, Tang Bo! I have read about that part so I knew he wasn't going to be one of main chars. I mentioned him coz I couldn't wait to see his official look, and Tang SoSo too! For the monk and the ferret; I probably need to continue reading the novel, their appearance in mahwa gonna take a while and I am no a patient soul.

Maybe that's him, I remembered people mentioned him being the antagonist sooo yes.

There’s also another good one (that was the one I had read since the skydemonorder one only had around 300 chapters at the time but it unfortunately discontinued at around the 400 chapter mark (then I used a proof-read mtl to get to chapter 500). There’s still a lot of good resources the page has though with all the illustrations and stuff linked! They also translated some later chapters that they liked/were important to the plot in bursts (Chapters 712-718; 897-904; 959-965).
