This pairing is somehow one of the healthier (albeit codependent) ones I've seen regarding consent and communication. Mostly because they're dumbass teenagers who don't know how sex or romantic relationships work. The MC thinking (ch. 89) "I started counting his blowjobs. Five blowjobs for one thigh job seemed fair..." killed me. Idk. I prefer novels where the main pair have a weird connection to each other.
Also, yeah, I like the web novel better than the manhwa adaptation. It's unfortunate, but at least the artist is getting practice?
Either buy the original novel on RidiBooks (title: 망한 세상에서 살아남기) or use the group linked on NovelUpdates ( https://www.novelupdates.com/series/surviving-in-a-broken-world/).
Gonna get cooked hard for this, but I low-key headcanon Rihito as aroace. Not that I don't think he isn't Noa's "best" option as a partner (and I'm aware this is a RomCom), but I relate to his thoughts and attitude a lot. I also relate to Noa's insecurities (though I've accepted most people grow distant/leave you IRL once they find a partner and start a family).
This was just a thought borne from me seeing someone on Reddit call Rihito a psychopath in response to Chapter 77.

Translation: "Tehir has multifaceted problems. Charin has disorganized attachment disorder. Hyehan has ADHD. Garon... If we have to say it in modern medicine, it has some similarities to Asperger's syndrome."
Bro, the statement that Tehir has "multifaceted" problems is so . Also, yeah, disorganized attachment disorder really fits Charin's toxic ass dynamic with Jin (tbh, every pairing is toxic except for the red fox guy (Rim) and long-haired blond mage dude (Ael)—but that's part of the fun!!).
The author also says that between Tehir and Charin, while they share the same father and inherited his temperament, Charin is "much kinder" and "affectionate by nature" while Tehir is "selfish by nature" and "a bit of a crazy master"...
If Charin is still considered "much kinder" and "affectionate" after we've seen all the personality wiping and emotional manipulation with Jin, then
Tehir does come across as a vengeance-minded freak, though. Kimoto, may you get better treatment and a live a life of peace and luxury.
Calling it now. Woori is gonna insist Soobin use him as a bank account. When Soobin refuses, he'll find a way to force Soobin to work for him. (And if Soobin manages to find another job, Woori will get him fired from that one, too).
What's scary is that Woobin doesn't see anything wrong with his actions. I adore him, but I want to beat him with sticks.
LMFAO Jio caved at the thought of his records getting stained. Sticking by what I commented a long while back about my ideal ending: "Preferably this ends with either both of them dying and/or putting an end to their brainworm apocalypse and going somewhere far, far away."
They both make each other so miserable . Ah, we're about to watch Miho's nth crash out after Jio got concussive bat therapy via Yerin's mom.

The ending of this manga will be a queerplatonic partnership between Rihito and Noa, but they still keep the whacky cast and dynamics. So "nothing" changes at the surface level, but there's a subtle shift in the meaning behind interactions underneath.
Idk. I enjoy this manga. It's enjoyable and relatable (in a weird way). However, I'm not gonna delude myself into *actually* thinking there's intentional aro-/ace-spec representation here.
"delusional take" and it's the most based take i've ever seen. keep it real
rihito aro ace realness, they basically alr got some queer platonic shit going on anyways even if they get together that shit just feel queer
