Right? This started pretty light hearted, and now within the last couple ch we've really jumped into deep layers for these characters.
Gosh, uke had been so broken and manipulated by the absolutely crap people around him. It's so sad that he's grasping for the tiniest shreds of affection and is satisfied with them because he knows they're genuine.
The fact that seme is actually trying to be honest with him and not wanting to do any more damage is such a good sign that he's not a piece of shit. It's going to be so cathartic when he falls in love too (he better, I'll be so pissed if he doesn't).
