I just caught up and WHAT THE FUCCKKKKK this author's paneling is SO GREAT. Its very cinematic, I love when im reading and it feels like a movie sequence. That cliff hanger will be sitting with me for awhile until season 2. The uke surprised me, I was literally looking around for the camera in the room to let me in on the prank lmao
I think the author is taking their time to develop Seowoo as a complex character. We're slowly seeing this shift from a character who didnt even care if he died to finding the joy in living again. That is the tragedy of it all because we know he's already going to die and as far as the audience and characters know - there is no changing that. I really appreciate the author for not rushing the story. There's something about a tragic character finding hope again that wrecks me, I just want him to be happy again. And the worst part is, he'll probably find happiness in the ONE thing he cant have which is Mr. Reaper. Behind the sex scenes there is actually a really interesting plot. (PLUS THE SEX SCENES ARE GREAT SO IDK WHY PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING?? ) The slow pacing is fleshing out the characters to being complex and multidimensional and im living for it!
Well of course and everyone knows that, but because we DO enjoy the actual story so much, we want to see it progress vs have to wait every 3 episodes for any story continuation. Plenty of stories will show montages/brief sex scenes to show that it happened while being able to continue plot and I think that was something she did even in Sign, but this story has gotten to the point that sex takes up more than half the screen time when what everyone wants now is plot

How incredibly, despicably downbad. I had to cover my gasp
