Can’t quite put into words how I feel after completing this story. It was painful and raw.. yet there were some beautiful moments. I’m at peace with this ending and I’m honestly glad TJ and Ian are endgame.
Jo gave Ian so much, he helped him heal in ways he never would have on his own and he loved him. Just like the author said, they could’ve been happy together. But Ian would never forget TJ.
TJ was his everything for so many years and when someone becomes your rock that never truly goes away. All the trauma they shared, the pain and suffering, the running away and getting back together. Through it all they loved each other but weren’t brave enough to admit it. That’s why it moved me to tears when they got their happy little ending. Sure they aren’t your usual “happy ending” but they truly love each other and for the first time they have the chance to live a normal life. They deserve their peace. And I hope Jo will be happy too, just not with Ian..
