the "choosing shitty person from the past over someone who actually cares about u" trope is always so mysterious to me- like u know for a fact they don't care about u and u put them over everyone and anyone its so stupid to me and lowkey annoying
it can be annoying but its also frustrating for the first person, especially frustrated with yourself, you know that they dont care about you the way you care about them but if doesnt change the fact that they’re important to you so you cant bring yourself to push them away even if they deserve it, especially if its a family member when societal norms and your own conscience force you to maintain a relationship with them…. been there, done that…
