Why do i feel bad to Astana? Yes he was greedy and did many horrible things but he was only manipulated by his mother, the empress who he trusted the most. The empress still gives the villain vibe up until the end i luv it she really is one of a kind villain. Also, is this Viese redemption arc?!??
He was manipulated yes. But just like Vieze he grew up to have his own mind. He had moments where he thought of things through but eventually did things only for his benefit, for his pleasure, because at the core of his beliefs is that HE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS. He will forsake his mom, his dad and everyone else "for Astana's sake" that's the only thing that he knows.
I dont like the empress at all but can we all agree that she is such a great villain. A truly remarkable villain! She is a mastermind who anticipates outcomes and takes bold, unapologetic ownership of her path, regardless of who gets hurt along the way.

I don't feel bad about Astana at all. He may be a victim but NEVER an innocent.
