Idk if there’s like loads of people defending this w the hearts and souls, but I personally expected more? I am not one to go for love triangles but once my bestie very expertly betrayed my trust as she recommended this one I had no option but to finish the ride as I had already invested a few hours. That being said once I knew it was a triangle, I couldn’t help but have high expectations for the angsty despair of wanting, loathing, and not being enough and while I do appreciate honorable mentions of angst I feel it just never fully submerged to the reality of it. It was just so forgive and forget that in the very end if I felt bad for anyone it was for the left over part of the triangle. There were no villains but I feel in any real case there just wasn’t enough depth the attempt was there but I still felt lacking. The small moments of lolz saved it and the art was beautiful so it definitely wasn’t a waste but I think there was missed potential, does anyone agree? I have to say i was fully playing my angsty playlist but had to pause it and just keep the heart wants what it wants on full repeat because if this story were a song, that’s definitely it, I had a sadder one ready tbh, Spanish speakers might know tu tanta falta de querer by Mon Laferte, and yup that’s what I was going with but it just never hit full angst in my opinion so I settled for a full forgive and forget moment instead. Anyways that’s it from me love ya.
Ah and don’t get me wrong I still liked the characters I just felt a bit upset w the easy forgiving ? I’m still following this and enjoying the dynamics after the authors angst attempt, and I will give an extra star if they switch and another extra star if we get besties love story.
