Aww man. I really like this story so far, (at chap 17) but I'm gonna have to put it on hold for a while. The translation from the scan group is good, but chunks of the chapters are missing in almost all the chapters they translated. And then the other translation is actually pretty bad when you compare the two and realize what they're actually supposed to be saying either way, I'm thankful for their efforts! But I like this story too much to read it while only getting pieces of it. So I'll wait
I hope Quentin is bold enough to tell the duke, "I told you so" in the next chapter lol! Quentin warned him about taking in Claris and the Duke basically said, "nah, I'm built different" only to immediately prove otherwise pfft!

The translations... So I'm not one to complain about how a manga I'm viewing for free is translated because it's still giving us the opportunity to read it. But...this one is one that I think I'll wait on for now. ^.^;

Look, I completely understand where everyone is coming from and it's okay to have your opinions and moral standards. I'm with you guys. But before calling the author gross and attacking them, please try to keep in mind that this is a Japanese comic. It wasn't made for western readers. It was made by a Japanese person for people in Japan. In Japan the age of content is far lower than it is in say Canada or the US. So what might seem incredibly weird to us, is pretty normal to them. If we grew up in Japan as well maybe it wouldn't seem like such a big deal either. I'm not saying every Japanese person is down for age gaps and such (as you often see that brought up as a point of conflict in mangas with setting like this) but it isn't actually illegal. Add to that, that they are both minors. So please at least keep that in mind before attacking the author. You don't have to read it, it's okay for you to pass on it, but being hateful and/toxic does not make you better than the author.
I remember when this was just a Wattpad story. Now it's a whole webtoon :O as a Wattpad author myself I'm weirdly proud lol hopefully it's improved over the years :)

Ugh, honestly, it's a special kind of suffering to have to act like you like your abuser. One of the reasons I actually like this manhwa is because I've never seen a character that I can relate to so well, like Ruby. Most books with victims of abuse always show them either being hostile to their abusers, distant or fearful. But showing victims in a situation where they have to hide their fear and disgust and go along with the situation is rare. Ruby was me for my entire childhood and I wish this side of abuse was shown more. I really hope that bastard gets what he deserves at some point so Ruby can truly start to heal.

Okay, I usually never rag on things like art because hey, if I can't do it I surely don't have the right to judge. So I'm not saying the art is bad, but I will say, between the promo art and the actual art, it feels like I went from 1080 resolution to 480. ╥﹏╥ I just really wish they'd kept the promo art. (With maybe a little change to the hairstyles lol)
