I let this marinate and read it all, but honestly I wish the ending was different. I don’t get why Regina had to apologize to Anita like it wasn’t her who betrayed her it was her ancestor. I feel like she also shouldn’t have because Anita killed her brother right in front of her in her past life and honestly it seems pretty unfair for her to apologize. I do like the side stories and I want Regina and Aaron to have babies (づ￣ ³￣)づ
Regina apologized in order to give Anita the apology she never got. She knows it wouldn’t be the same and the diary is what gave Anita her final piece of closure but Regina’s apology was a way to finally end things with getting Anita the closure she desperately needed. Also yes Anita killed everyone but that was in a version of reality that was branched off and lost when Regina regressed, so even though Regina remembers it’s not something the Anita of their current reality did.
