Taeha and Hawon are both playing their own games. It's just a matter of who is more cunning. Taeha will always win since he has been raised in this environment way longer than Hawon. Hawon has a shitty father, he ruined lives and karma is making Hawon pay for it. Yes, I think Hawon's decision backfired. Teahe and him had a clean deal but Hawon wanted to prove something. Honestly though, this manga has no innocent characters all of them are cunning and will ruin lives if it's a necessity to survive. So I'd rather enjoy the story than questioning morality of each character.
