I remember reading this back in 2021 and loving it. But it got to a point where I wanted to wait for the officials to read it. 5 years later, I finally binge it.
Starts so well, all the bits that I love, the loving sister dynamic, the premise to save her sister from marrying a weirdo, the beautiful art, the OTT fashion and matching sibling sets, the heartfelt writing of the FL's emotions trying to navigate it all, the silly teasing that made me actually laugh. Mind you there were plot holes, and the fact that most of the characters were plot devices but I was hopeful we'd get some their character development.
And then the time skip. I don't know if they got told to wrap it up faster or whatever.
BUT THE ENTIRE REST OF IT AFTER THEY AGED UP GARBAGE FUCKING DUMPSTER FIRE. The supposed adult has somehow regressed her mind, she harem-ed the shit out of her friends, all of them including Josh are just accessories to uplift her. The FL becomes such a pick-me who lives in her head barely considering any one else (whilst believing she is thinking so much of the boys), and the villain and war just were thoughtlessly tacked on for plot development. The villain is just obsessed with her because? The war shes in, is somehow being sorted by the boys. She's number one in her school and yet dense as.
Anything that felt like a remotely interesting concept to explore - her parents dying the complexity in having abusive parents and being separated from them and as a transmigrator into that body another layer of nuance, or the previous Lillianne how she felt not being the soul that would make her sister happiest, but some other random person to be her sister not a fully external other person like hello super interesting concept to explore, but nah we have a chapter where we dream about her and chat about it all and somehow we're all chill and fine with it. Like girl I'd be a damn vengeful spirit.
Just such a good start and then no delivery. Like wtf the whole bit about to avoid seeing her sister for ages - when her sister is supposed to be so kind, loving and sensitive to her and she just lets that shit be? Im so annoyed that all got basically swept under the rug And just a pet peeve of mine neither her sister nor the FL had any real gal pals, the only one we see for the FL is one who forces her friendship onto the FL, and has no depth and is so clearly a plot tool.
This one truly disappointed me. I was pulling my teeth to finish this from like chap 90 onwards. I just wanted to see if it could land this plane crash but it just continued burning into a crisp.
anyways don't know if anyone else agrees, but my TLDR: is dont read this one, we have higher standards in 2026.
i second this opinion, couldn't have said it better especially on the part where she made a harem of her friends. Like girl has the mentality of a 20 yr old and decide to give nuances to kids that they should marry her when they get older and remained that kind of shit ass relationship with them till they grow up.
Like i get that she might be betting on them to forget or something when they're all grown up but how even if she was the one who kept reminding them of that nuance to the point where it borderline feels like the kids are being trained in a pavlov's dog experiment by her saying shit like I'll kiss you, if we're family you won't be able to marry me, being lover's level clingy (linking arms and sleeping on their shoulders), etc

Yeah I'll say it, this is one of the best I've ever read. Do I cry like every chapter, maybe, who's counting? If you read this get ready to get your feelings hurt, but it's worth it.
I know this story has flaws, and the ML and FL have lacklustre chemistry but for once we have a mother-in-law antagonist that is not half-baked with the backstory of how she got where she was despite a 'sweet husband'. Like shes not just oh I want his money and want to take advantage, she been overlooked and become overcooked tbh she could easily fit the villainess isekai genre.
