Honestly what I love most about her character is she is a feminine character but she doesn’t exude the traditional feminine qualities that this type of book sees (IN A VERY GOOD WAY) she’s breaking stereotypes one blank stare at a time.
I like the age gap concept but ngl, why’s it always gotta be a minor and a whole ass adult… not like “oh 3, 4, 5 years apart” no no, 8 minimum. Like, especially when the girls are HIGHSCHOOLERS. Bro she’s 16 istg, no 16yo has business dating anyone over the age of 18… 19 at MOST. Why can’t we get age gaps where the people are like… 23 and 30 or smth, or like 30 and 47, when they’re all solid consenting adults..
I also love how these stories can never be told without the perfect recipe for opportunistic manipulation, like.. the FL is always vulnerable, isolated, struggling, or naive. Can we get a romance where the fl is like.. none of those things please? Where she’s consenting in a proper headspace as a legal adult..

There are things that can be appropriate names for fiction and simultaneously serious issues but this is just not one of them..
