Halfway through this and I decided not to finish it, story feels off… i wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s grooming but it did make me feel uncomfortable in some parts (kinda romanticizing manipulative behaviors and revenge) so i’m dropping it. i’m assuming the end is about them living happily ever after which doesn’t seem quite realistic in this scenario

The plot is written with so much intention and deals with important thematics such as child exploitation, child abuse, SA, extreme religious and manipulative behaviors etc. HOWEVER I still think a trigger warning was needed in many of the chapters, it’s very heavy and dark, in my opinion (as someone who experienced many of these things…) I should have done more research on this story so this is a mini warning for anyone who hasn’t read this story yet. TW everyone, proceed with caution!! It IS a beautiful story, with a nice pacing, light hearted moments, tho i wish some parts had more depth and some topics were explored with better depictions.

I think it may lead back to your own definition of rape. What I learnt, rape is a big topic of my studies, the attempt is a rape already. Elva was undressed forcibly and have his body touched although there is no penetration yet, and later with the second person he got penetrated, or at least implied (not clearly shown). Twice, one without penetration and one with (implied) penetration.
