I would've blamed the ml at start for not communicating clearly what his problem/trauma was and stringing the mc along but nooo mc had to pull mind games... I'm sorry but deluding someone into thinking they cheated on you is way worse than not having any action for 7 years.
Author is just sitting on the desk and bullshitting every week there's nothing that can be recognized as a plot here
