Have any of you guys every seen the brain of a schizophrenic or chronically depressed person in a brain scan? It's genuinely incredible. You can visually see parts of the brain that are turned off. I don't think that Mokyeon has just psychological problems. He genuinely has a fundamental biological and chemical issue. Because no normal person acts the way he does. And don't get me wrong, he is trying to use threatening to kill himself as a manipulation tactic, but it doesn't take away the fact he DID harm himself and he did try to kill himself. Constant thoughts about wanting to kill yourself isn't normal even if you don't act on them. You're still suicidal. But I'd say it's more like you're passively suicidal (I know because like Mokyeon I've attempted before and then after I wasn't ACTIVELY trying to do it I've been passively suicidal for years with constant thoughts I haven't acted upon I'm clean since 2021). You can be passively suicidal for a variety of reasons. Economic problems, relationship problems, trauma, etc. I'm not psychologist so I cannot diagnose the character lol but my boy has a combo of straight up Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Depression and CPTSD. Why PTSD? Because of his highly traumatic childhood. WARNING IM NOT JUSTIFYING HIS ACTIONS IM A NERD! I'M STUDYING MEDICINE.
