The prince said that Xai Xu's mom was part of the royal family so I think that Xia Xu's dad was the king and he had sex with Xia Xu's mom and had Xia Xu. The prince's mom was another woman and maybe the king harassed Xia Xu's mom and she left leaving Xia Xu to be homeless. So the prince and Xia Xu might be Half-brothers... CORRECT ME IF MY GUESS IS WEIRD （ﾉ´д｀）
I was thinking they shared the same mom because the mom got purple eyes which is apparently a royal family attribute
agreed and she may have fallen in love with Xia Xu father who is not from a royal family and had an affair with him
They could either be half brothers from mother's side or cousins. But Xia Xu is a half-blood, so his other parent is definitely a human. And that's why his powers are way weaker than the prince despite being royalty too.
And the father does not look like part of royal family so I think they are pretty much brothers from the mother side but then again its weird to see the prince saying the death "your" mother instead of "our" mother . Maybe the Prince father could have had multiple partners ? That route makes much sense ......at least for me.

Xia Xu is half human, his father is human and his mother is a princess (possibly even the previous heir to throne?). If she is the Prince's mother too, then she had two husbands? (and she's dead because she had an affair with a human)
But since the Prince said "your", I am starting to believe that they are cousins. The Prince's mother or father is the sibling of Xia Xu's mother. Vampires age differently or don't age at all depending on the story, so King doesn't necessarily have to be the Prince's parent. It could be their grandparent or even great grandparent. As for why the Prince calls Xia Xu brother if they are cousins, that's just Asian culture. Even I call all my cousins brothers and sisters. And it probably clears up the reputation damage caused by a 'noble vampire princess running away with a lowly human'
Also, can we really trust the Prince in first place? Would he really keep a human locked up for atleast 2 decades just in case someone shows up? There is no way they didn't track down the couple. But did the vampire royal family even know about Xia Xu's existence? If they did, why is he still alive? I feel like a royal family like that would have just killed the whole family (or atleast killed the father and son) for bringing shame to the bloodline.
