Author really had the MC go “The only way to heal Barney’s heart is to let him torture and rape all he wants with no repercussions, how else can he know I care if I don’t let him brutally assault to the point of passing out from blood loss?” Uuuum, what happened to the MC we started with? Before he would have knocked some sense into mage boy and talked him through it. Or kept shutting down his rape attempts and continue to use his words. They really decided there wasn’t enough fucking in this fuck fest and had the MC’s brain fucked out of his skull because he no longer can hold a consistent characterization or rational thought. ALSO how was that brutal assault scene between MC and Barney NOT considered a “bad end” it was just as awful as those “dreams.” ALSO ALSO how does he know how awful these people CAN be due to reading the novel and the dreams and not hold an ounce of suspicion for them? How was this man a teacher when he clearly wouldn’t be able to pass a fifth grade literature class, let alone college. BUH. This started out with potential but the writing just keeps getting worse and the pacing is awful. I want to like it I do, but it’s impossible with this kind of inconsistent characterization and hypocritical morals. I don’t think it knows what kind of story it wants to tell anymore.
The manga was like we’ll make the alpha a green flag, but it’s omegaverse, SOMEONE has got to get raped. So the omega rapes the alpha for actually no reason other than rape being some kind of requirement for writing omegaverse. Why man, it’s such an unnecessary blemish on an otherwise decent story.
Like, what was the point here? Were we supposed to wish for the happiness of a homewrecker? Dude knew he was married AND having a baby and still decided to sleep with him. And what was the seme even attracted to? The uke’s pretty face and cheating ways? Really wish in these stories the wife would find out. Like this is so shitty. None of them deserve to be happy.
I didn’t like Taeju using sex to pressure Euihyun into living with him. Wish Taeju had actually stopped when asked and Euihyun realize he didn’t want it to stop instead of Taeju telling him, and Euihyun be the one to ask him to keep going. Yes it was hot, but it felt like a bit of a backtrack after the promise not to do anything Euihyun didn’t like anymore.
This author needs to examine their internalized homophobia for real. Having a preference is fine. But when you belittle your partner by saying the role they constantly take on “makes you feel sick”, say that bottom is the “woman’s role”, making the bottom ask for forgiveness and be the one to bend for daring to want to try something new, no compromise just give the seme whatever he wants and get away with his toxic behavior… Now THAT makes me feel sick.
It comes across like the author doesn’t view men who bottom as “men” as chapter 3 almost feels like it’s scolding the bottom for wanting to take on the “man’s” role.
Why do authors feel the need for taking hot, buff protags and throwing them into weak ass twinky bodies that we see in almost every single BL/yaoi? I just don’t get it. Also the trend of these pure hearted, strong guys being reincarnated into not only a twink, but the resident hoe? Like it’s happened in MULTIPLE stories. Probably one of the worst tropes. If they HAVE to be reincarnated at least make it a similar body? Or let it actually be a fresh start instead of actually possessing someone else who has already lived for a while?
Genuinely lost any interest in this story after learning about the twist. Makes me wish I had never even started it so I couldn’t be disappointed.
I don’t feel bad for the uke. He had sex in public and he did sleep with people for investments. He 100% deserved to be fired from his first company. It’s understandable there would no longer be faith in his abilities and everyone who saw that article passed around would suspect all of his achievements came from sleeping his way to the top. He dug his own grave.
The interesting part is going to be seeing how this character climbs out or if he keeps digging lower, because it’s looking like the pattern is going to repeat itself. Because accepting that 10mil for sleeping with an investor is the easy way out. Instead of proving his skills by securing multiple investors with his persuasion and genuine belief in the product, sleeping with that guy is quick and easy. Would love to see him reject the offer and actually prove his skills don’t just lie in the bedroom. But we’ll see next season.
This desperately needs a sequel bc for now the uke WILL run at the first sign of societal pressure. He hasn’t really even done anything to apologize to the seme for basically calling him a freak. Did we even get an “I’m sorry”? No. Very unsatisfying.
They really ruined their own story by casually throwing in the cheating with the ex. Now all I want is the wife to find out and divorce him. Like it was so unnecessary it’s crazy. “I realized I love my wife after cheating on her.” Um ew, gross? And uke is gross too for sleeping with a married man.
It would be cool if she ever learned to do anything on her own instead of running to a man anytime she’s scared. She has all the mental fortitude of a spoiled 12 year old. Marriage or Death has a protag in a similar situation and she’s waaaay better. This one has no spine and is unbelievably dumb, tho I don’t think the author intended her to come across that way.

I don’t like how they made the former oppressed slave the villain. Like, none of the ruling class are opposing slavery and are perfectly happy with the twisted system they have. Why go out of the way to show how absolutely awful Rashta’s life was if she’s going to be made the evil home wrecker. What, was the former slave supposed to turn down the literal emporer when he wanted to sleep with her? Did the empress ever advocate for slaves rights? No? Then Rashta owed her no loyalty or consideration.
It feels so scummy to have the former slave be evil bc she stepped above her station, especially since Rashta becoming more unhinged and viscous is the result of isolation and manipulation by others of the ruling class. That redheaded woman who treated her like trash was actually rewarded and suffered no consequences for treating someone with no power so horribly.
I like the empress as a character, but there are no “good” people in this story. If a character exists in a story where slavery is an accepted system, and they do not at the very least, bare minimum, verbally oppose that system, then I can’t root for them. Personal opinion but the treatment of Rashta’s entire character in this feels too slimy for me to continue.
60+ chapters in and barely anything is happening. And its obvious the only reason he likes FL now is because she’s not in love with him and he’s not used to women not fawning over him. He hasn’t changed from the same person he was before she regressed. He just wants to fuck her now out of lust instead of using his dick to trick her into agreeing to live in his hellhouse, be tortured and neglected all for his plan to fail and her end up dead.
He is still that same man and has done nothing to show any character growth other than lusting after FL more openly. Had it been FLs master sent to him in the beginning, she would have went through the same things as FL in the past.
He has done nothing to prove himself a better man than he was and it’s annoying seeing FL slowly forgive him just bc he finds her hot now.
Seme did not do NEARLY enough to make up for how he treated the uke. The forgiveness and get back together were way too rushed. He treated the uke like absolute shit the entire story, then they get back together after he cries? Could have done with more chapters showing the seme actually work on his behavior and earn forgiveness. Hot characters, meh story.
Next few chapters are going to be brutal. Seme is going to purposefully force the uke into getting alcohol poisoning. Also, if you’re expecting a redemption arc, don’t. It just gets worse for uke. After uke’s brother shows up and is trash, uke gets kidnapped and gangsters try to harvest his and his mom’s organs. Seme knows he was kidnapped but is still angry the uke “left” him. So seme breaks his leg, confines him, and uses the gangsters taking his mother as leverage for more control over uke. Eventually the uke just accepts his fate and lowkey mind breaks. There is no happy ending for uke. He will forever live the rest of his life in fear of the seme’s violence.
Bro shut up. “If only he wasn’t a guide” like the only reason he went through hell was because of your treatment, the only reason he hates you all is because you all treated him worse than the livestock you compared him too. Him being a guide had nothing to do with his suffering. UGH I hope he either leaves after finally giving them a piece of his mind OR does go with them into the dungeon, but sabotages them and gets them killed one by one.
