The MC is supposed to be this great spy/specops from SK, but he’s like so dumb? Why do authors struggle so hard to make the MCs who are supposed to be competent actually competent? Is it because without the MC being bizarrely dumb, they won’t fall in love with their rapist?
I mean, another complaint would be that the ML is just an asshole rapist with 0 depth. Like that’s it. I think his popularity is one of the most confusing things about this story and reading comments.
I used to think Taekjoo is so dumb too, unbefitting the best spy of SK, until someone said he literally got blindsided by the HQ, then I realized why he was so fucking slow. He trusted the wrong people, more than his own instinct. Then I think some more... Maybe he's just the best at physical aspect of being a spy, not actually thinking and using his brain. That's Jongwoo's job. That sidekick, idr his name.
Seme uses their ability to assault uke, uke finally fights back and author makes THEM apologize for daring to hit their assaulter. The narrative will treat this like the right thing (uke apologizing) and never call out seme for abusing their position of authority to assault uke because by the end they CARE about uke. Which suddenly means we should forget about the assault.
Rinse and repeat. No point in reading this unless the above is your jam.
Why was it called rivalry? Where was the rivalry with the main couple? Actually could not stand the shallow MC the entire time. This was such a step down from the author’s previous work I’m shocked. Was back to school a fluke?
I actually think this is a step up from Back to School. Both characters were interesting, complex characters, more than just an infatuated bottom and a stoic top. This work also delves into problem solving in relationships which I like a lot because it provides really delicious character development. Back to School deals primarily with the problems from the antagonist and healing, but focuses mainly on the mc. This, however, focuses on both characters which makes the story a lot more complete and balanced. It makes the relationship a lot more dynamic. I still do like Back to School, but if I had to say which I like more as both a work and entertainment, then undoubtedly this. Just my opinion though

Chapter 14 made this unsalvageable. Like, there was zero reason for MC to defend the rpst? Especially when the rpst was losing the fight? MC was literally plotting to take him down the chapter before. The 180 to “just go along with him” had no build up and came out of nowhere.
This is just psuedo-incest rpe porn. Nothing more, do not pick this up thinking there will be an interesting story or well developed plot. Waste of time imo.
