Wasn’t a fan of how the ML decided to prove his faithfulness to the MC by just removing himself from temptations. Like he bought a remote cabin in the woods far away from society, of course he wasn’t going to cheat. Would have preferred him prove it by being a consistent partner in an environment were he could easily fall into old habits and CHOOSE not to. Rather than being somewhat forced based on location. Also could have done with a side story of MC not trusting ML bc he really has no reason to.

    Applecreampied June 1, 2024 5:29 pm

I’m pretty sure he moved to a cabin cus he knows he’ll cheat again if given a chance plus they’ll be with each other 24/7 because the mc has a remote job now so there’s almost 0 chance of him possibly cheating not because he chose not to cheat but his environment doesn’t permit him to do it as easily

I don’t like how the husband’s “friend” just gets away with cheating. When the story revolves around the pain of betrayal, the author decided to use his infidelity as a comedic gag? Would have been better if at the very end his wife left him or at least was told. Also didn’t like how the friends lowkey were encouraging the pregnant woman to stay with her verbally abusive husband who would go on violent tirades around the house. What’s the lesson there? Stay with your abuser and HOPE he’ll change? There was a lot of mixed messaging in this, but I liked the main couple.

Grey Goo May 24, 2024 6:48 am

This was all just the husband’s elaborate plan to get his wife to go along with his cuck fetish.

Uke might as well have said “I’m only 1 week from retirement, what could possibly go wrong?” I sense tragedy.

He’s the one who proposed a contract. If he actually wanted to make her happy, he would have done something to shut his harpy of a mother up. She’s the worst. It wouldn’t surprise me if she threw herself down the stairs to stop FL from leaving. And the ML is so petty from being in a situation of his own creation. I hope after this the FL stops obeying the mother in law and starts letting that family have it. She has no reason to hold back anymore.

    Teii May 23, 2024 5:29 pm

I believe his mom hurt herself on purpose too to stop FL from leaving

Cop sees a woman (omega) in trouble and immediately takes advantage of his position of power to sexually assault her with 0 repercussions. The woman even tries to apologize and clear up the “misunderstanding” for daring to be at a host club in the first place. I’m surprised the cop didn’t also remark on what she was wearing as a reason for the assault.

No amnesia plot. Please I’m begging. And if our boy Woowon survives this, I can bet he’s about to have all freedoms taken away by Seo-an, we might even get a mini confinement arc… Also I want them to switch. If there was ever a more perfect couple for it….

I was thinking the same, the memory loss arc (/TДT)/
And imo I don't think they would be a good switch couple. The power dynamic would be too much for Won

The people hating on Jahan just hate complex characters, also will simp over the literal rapists and abusers in the story bc “hot”. Jahan’s mother SOLD him to pedos ever since he was a child (remember the rant about his mother suffering the same WITH him), he was raised to sell himself and never learned a healthy way of coping. It’s understandable and tragic that he has a sex addiction, but tries to do better for MC’s sake, though failing at times because it’s all he’s ever known. He is the only one in the story who genuinely cares about MC and has no ulterior motives. They even point out he could leave this life of poverty now, but doesn’t because he cares about MC and doesn’t want to leave him alone. Jahan has been the MC’s only source of happiness and companionship for nearly 10 years, the goal of them going to Korea together and starting a farm likely being a major reason MC stopped his suicidal ideations. And what, people hate Jahan, the literal victim of pedohelia, because he’s “slutty”? Because he suffers from an addiction brought on by years of childhood abuse? Grow up. The “slutty” comments really prove you’re not mature enough to read this kind of story yet.

i get what you mean and i too sympathise with jahan but my opinion of him soured when it was revealed he turned away hawon’s stepmother. he had no right to make that decision on his own and his excuse that he did it to stop her from asking hawon for money makes no sense considering she obviously knew about hawon’s oppressive debt. i understand jahan didn’t completely understand the consequences of his actions but it’s undeniable he was acting selfishly because he didn’t want her to take hawon from him. he gets upset when hawon keeps things from him but he hid the stuff about his stepmother for almost 10 years while hiding the stuff about his own father too. i get that he’s mentally stunted because of trauma from selling himself at a young age but the fact that hawon wouldn’t have had to suffer for the past 8/9 years if he had just let hawon meet his stepmother bothers me to no end.

additionally if jahan went to his father to claim his inheritance he would’ve been able to at least provide some financial support for hawon. i don’t understand why he’d rather they just suffer together. i understand why he is the way he is and why he's made some of these decisions but i just can’t bring myself to like him

People jump to conclusions and make actions subconsciously based on experiences and sometimes complexes. In Jahan's case, his mom left him with all of her debt so he blames her for his misery. He most likely subconsciously assumed that Hawon's step-mom would be trouble to Hawon based on his own experience and so lied to her believing that he's genuinely doing good for his friend.
As for his dad, I assume he resents him for not acknowledging him when he needed him the most, but we don't know that for sure. Either way this matter should not affect his relationship with Hawon since Hawon himself

[Continuation] Either way this matter should not affect his relationship with Hawon since Hawon himself does not let him in on a lot of personal details either. Who would go "hey I hate my father and want to avoid him because he fucked up my life and I'd rather live in misery paying off my debt for the rest of my life instead of accepting his inheritance... but you know what, let's comply because my friend needs financial support" anyway?

jahan said himself that hawon doesn’t usually keep things from him up until now. it’s clear they’re usually meant to be open with each other until now. i think anyone with sense would go claim their inheritance if it makes their and the people around them’s lives easier, plenty people would actually go for this option since frankly it is the easiest. it’s never been implied that jahan hates his father, rather it’s been made clear that jahan just doesn’t want to leave hawon behind and that’s why he didn’t accept his father’s offer, but maybe his trauma has stunted his common sense because as it is hawon has more trouble trying to look out for jahan for doing things that he shouldn’t do to get by then he would if he just claimed his inheritance. jahan clearly isn’t much of a rational person but still it’s not like he chose the best choice, suffering together is not better than one of thek suffering while the other has money to help the other out to an extent

to an extent i get why jahan did what he did but it doesn’t change the consequences of his actions considering just how much the mc’s life could’ve changed if he had just met his stepmother. that wanst jahan’s decision to make regardless of how he felt

Can a novel reader please spoil now on earth these 2 wind up together. Because being drugged, violently raped (ML even contemplating raping MC to death), and then being killed (attempted but ML thought it succeeded) all seem like real breakers to me. Without mind break or stalkholme syndrome there really is no believable way. I NEED spoilers.

As a fellow novel reader even I’m confused. The best way to describe it is, no matter how hard taekjoo tries to escape Zhenya will always follow. That and somehow through all the horrible things Zhenya put him through he actually grew feelings for Taekjoo. He’s been tamed. Taekjoo just learned to accept it and eventually grew feelings for the monster. It’s super fucked up and how they managed to actually end up together still haunts me after reading the novel.

It used to be on chrysanthemum garden however it got deleted due to copyright reasons the next best one that you can read is on Ao3 however it’s some misspelling here and there and they don’t have the side stories. I can’t find the one that did but I’m going to link the one that’s okay as far as translation. Hope it helps

They could make the “met as kids” coincidence less contrived if the entire reason Jin became a prosecutor/works with police is because of what happened to the twins. If they’re both trying to solve related mysteries, thus leading them toward the same local, then it would make more sense and feel less forced for them to meet again.

I’m thinking the guy who hurt the twins either got off suuuuper light or completely scott free. MC hunting him down for revenge and maybe Jin doing the same but to either find the twins or give the evil man the sentence he deserved…. Super wishful thinking on my part though.
