mygod the yearning is so intense, it's like i could taste mokyeon's desperation. the lingering stares, the sad puppy eyes, the thirst for nanjo's affection!!! he wants that man so bad, and it's totally understandable.
when he started literally begging nanjo to let him kiss him in the shower scene, i swear i had to put my phone down and take a fucking breath. they kiss so little in the story, but each time nanjo reciprocates my soul ascends. it's emotionally charged, and, in my opinion, hikes up the tension better than any written smut.
and like, mokyeon is so unhinged, turns self-destructive when he gets his heart broken, but he also clearly wants to cherish nanjo, wants to build something lasting with him, would worship him at some altar if that's what it takes. he is deeply infatuated with the guy and he is loud about it.
again, understandable. i'd kill for a nanjo myself. i just hope their situation sorts itself out before nanjo runs out of patience, bless him.
gosh, i really thought this was gonna be just another smutty bl for my eyes to feast upon, but i was so wrong.
the daiki × juhyeok friendship / amicable rivalry is so dear to me, i genuinely hope it won't ever get ruined. juhyeok needs more people like daiki in his life.
(also, such gorgeous character design)
Hyunjin has a crush on his senior in the same department, Jeongwook. It perfectly captures Jeong-woo...

the fact the author got the smut out of the way before developing the most tender, wholesome, bone-melting romance rewired smt in my brain. can't imagine finding that chemistry anywhere again.
Can anyone recommend me a bl story that follows students and has a good plot but no smut? Think something like Heesu in class 2, or Count down to love or even Minority. I just need some well written characters I could sink my teeth into
Honestly, regardless of the lacking plot and weakly developed romance, I just thought the vibes were immaculate.
Something about the art and the characters felt so fresh, I just wanted to follow their journey through and through. Wanted to read more about their passions and watch them grow closer together.
This was certainly a palate cleanser for me. I think the romantic relationship had sooo much potential. It felt right and balanced. Incredibly tender too, I was kicking my feet giggling. I wish this were longer. I loved everything about it.
