If anyone is traumatized already, it gets way worse before it gets better. If you get anxious or depressed at certain series, love yourself and do not continue. No shame in that! Or skip over the parts that are hard. Tho tbh you’d be skipping over a lot of this one cuz again, it gets way worse before it gets better. Please choose to love yourself and do not continue if it affects you in negative ways. I’m not sure which parts will be adapted into the manhwa and which parts will be left out, but there are almost no “wholesome” points. It’s pretty angsty throughout.
BUT, here are some tiny things to look forward to if you do decide to stick around (no big plot spoilers, only character spoilers):
- Zhenya’s relationship with Taekju’s mother is so funny I can’t wait to see how that’s put into art
- Zhenya trying to feed Taekju ramyun at every opportunity is hilarious
- Taekju’s mother thinks Zhenya is an angel, but in reality, Taekju’s mother is the only angel in this whole series
- Zhenya has like, zero tolerance for spicy food and Taekju loves to mess with him by feeding him various Korean cuisines (and expand his cultural experience to delicious food duuuuuhhhh)
- Taekju is definitely masochistic, but his pride is larger than zhenya’s dick and so he would never actually admit that he’s masochistic
- Taekju pretty much admits he’s an adrenaline junkie/thrill seeker whatever you want to label it. He sticks with his job because of this purpose.
Thanks for coming to my TedTalk. If you need a soul cleanse, go read/reread Our Sunny Days ;)
Renchin is one of my favorites but I never knew there was a prequel and my heart shattered reading this prequel but also I’m glad this is the prequel cuz Renchin heals it all
