WHAT A F***ING ROLLER COASTER OH MY GOSH. But it was SO WORTH IT this is hands down one of my favorite manga I've ever read!!! It was hilarious, it was heart wrenching, it was kind of scary, it was just everything. Even some of the "afterwards" that the author wrote were freaking hilarious. Her personality resembles her writing style. Gosh what a piece of freaking work. I love this so much.

Admittedly I strongly dislike the story, but I wouldn't knock anyone else down for liking it. Stories are written to express different facets of the human experience including dark or traumatic ones. But I personally hate when stories gloss over things as if they're not a real life issue because if younger people or people without a lot of knowledge or experience on the matter read it, it can become normalized for them and they might not recognize the severity. That being said, this wide genre is also largely for entertainment. I think these kinds of stories shouldn't be censored or controlled, but I do think it would help if there were short notes on what is happening and whether it's acceptable in daily life. I actually really appreciate the translator's side note because it's a really important and interesting cultural nuance to the conversation and occurrence that gives the scene a different dimension.

Also it's extremely hard to believe that this is the same author as Blue Lust. That one is a brilliant, incredibly well developed story. I highly recommend it!

I absolutely love this. The main characters and their relationship is really well developed, and it deeply explores the secondary character's emotions and difficulties regarding his sexuality - including what he did at the beginning with the main character (which I won't say because I don't want to give spoilers). But I also just appreciate that it was treated with the seriousness that it deserved. A lot of times, harmful or even traumatic events are too easily glossed over in yaoi, so I appreciate when a story respects the experiences for what they are. But anyway, what a beautiful and satisfying story!!
