Thank you for bringing me back to this, has to be one of my favourite.
Short and sweet, I love this story. It’s not overly complex or dances around a large plot twist that takes hundreds of chapters to complete, the couple is cute, and the side characters have their own nice charm.
Please don’t drop this! The translations are fine! We appreciate you greatly and love the work you are doing!
Damn it, I only completed this story because I wanted to see MCs reaction to finding out he was getting manipulated and used, but of course, he is a pushover and was perfectly ok with it in the end… why are there so many stories with MC being perfectly fine with everything. At least reveal that he knew all along he was given something and he though it was fine to play along, but there is not a single relevant thought in this guys head!

They did such a good job with this, I can’t believe it’s over. The amount of emotions o went through reading this is absolutely glorious. 10/10 would read again.
Everyone is saying they hope the Duke dies but I’m the opposite. I WANT HIM TO LIVE. I want Edwin, when he is older, reject becoming the Duke, tell him to his face that he is a horrible person and that he never wants to see him again. I want the Duke to be destroyed mentally, leave him with nothing. Break him with loss and regret.
So real! After Edwin saw mc yelling at him, I honestly expected a chapter where Edwin found out that his father was sending Lucian to his death and planning to make him take everything Lucian had. Then after realizing all that, I was hoping the kid would say something like "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?! LUCIAN IS MY BROTHER! I ALREADY LOST MOM, I DON'T WANT TO LOSE SOMEONE ELSE AGAIN".
I really hate that Duke btw...Lucian is such a cute baby and the exact copy of him, and he says he loves Edwin, but I doubt it, if he did, he'd make an effort to love Lucian who Edwin cherishes, after all, it's not like Lucians mother ever brought him any trouble. Even if she never existed, he would've never had chance to marry a commoner, let alone, make her pregnant and have her child live with him.
He only sees a peace left behind my his mistress, which PMO. Bc Edwin is his own person.
Also, how slow was Edwin in the original timeline and currently, to not notice everything? Like your brother is being insulted, glared at, neglected, and you're replacing him, SOMEONE WITH A BRAIN NOTICES THAT .
no wonder the poor baby started bullying Edwin..
Why are the other characters so insistent on MC being weak because of his ability when he literally proves them wrong over and over again?
It’s a very interesting story and I will keep reading, but even though they make it feel like there is a sense of urgency there isn’t really a consequence as it’s literally just a game.
