You kinda got to consider that the sex culture is different in other countries and so while we might be reading no, there's like several different ways to say "no" with different meanings. i think the reason why it could come off as rape bc there's no context, it didn't show their connection from the start. their dynamics justified those first few chapters honestly the best way of understanding things is to give it the benefit of the doubt until it's fully understood. up to you if you wanna miss out on a banger (quite literally)
