He's basically sticking to what he knows.
When he played the game. Faith is like a consumable item; very op but once taken away, you're useless. Instead, he built up his economy and science and stacked up passives over millennium.
They an coexist like in rl. Normal ppl with faith are fine but fanatics will always exist. Fiction mirror reality. At this point, even if he did nothing, he'd still have diehard followers
So the basic idea is that "if I don't get it, neither will anyone else"? Like getting rid of potential resources other gods might have, right? But on the other hand, with the rise of sciense, faith tends to decline. Isn't it still shooting shooting himself in the foot long term?
Just because you’re not part of religion doesn’t mean you don’t have a faith, so the group might decline but the faith will stay, also mages might start as non-believers, but some will definitely be a believer again and vise-versa, in short its fine lol

Then in this universe gods will still receive faith even if you are not part of their religion as long as you believe / have faith in them?
Not sure how to feel about this one... on one hand , the premise and idea look really fun and fresh, kiss are very cute and the world seems interesting. On the other, it feels like author is throwing at you everything all at once, pacing feels weird. I see what tropes author is trying to use but they all feel a bit forced...and his mom is an awful mom (╬￣皿￣)凸

I liked it sm in the beginning but it was sooo frustrating to read by the end...I was feeling this manga would finally be without those overused miscommunication tropes but alas it did have it...in fact it was blown out of proportions and was dragged out for waaay too long ( T﹏T ) fl was especially frustrating
