at ch4 so i assume this changes: mc is FUCKING useless rn man. Like its a romcom kind of gag manhwa so im not sincerely upset, but i believe mc when he says hes bad at school, yamhead got nothing goin on up there
nothing a kr drama bl loves more than a horrible situation fake out but I'm stuck being so tired of mc running into the exact same cycle of thinking, being so stuck on the idea that him and ml will, without a doubt, break up one day. Especially cos nothing about it is addressed to move it along
dawg it is getting dire in here, the soils becoming volatile, half the new and upcoming stuff is translated by no one but these nasty ai groups, like if people dont want that shit in the source material why would they want it in the translations. I dont know much about these groups but i have to assume theres some kind of profit or assumed profit theyre going to be making, like theyre putting in the least amount of effort but ai bros are stupid and entitled so i just believe theres something theyre getting out of making these groups
what on earth is this war of the uploaders that's happening in so many of these newer series
is it just a korea thing where everyone is so hopelessly obsessed with each others dating lives and relationship status'? Is it just a trope in all of these stories with romance elements between the main character and their friends or acquaintances or is this like a real reflection of the social culture over there. Or maybe it's like this everywhere and I've just never met anyone who barrage the people around them with endless questions about who they're with and when they're gonna get serious.
is it just a bl thing at this point? Why do so many cheating exes in these stories insert themselves to speak for either party. As if they have some kind of space to talk about respecting and being serious about their ex, as if they didn't suck during their relationship. Ig it's an easy way to dump a lot of information on you, but it just makes the character come across as annoying or insufferable, they're just way too confident in their significance to their exes new relationship
we keep running into the same problem both with the disagreements in their relationship (always relating to how there's some inevitable end to them on the horizon) and mc's utter refusal to ask for help for the sake of his pride. I assume it's influenced by the social culture of korea, which is why this kind of conflict is so prevalent in these kinds of manhwa, but this is getting a little tired when it's the root of every issue
idk what it is about these kinds of self-concious yet overconfident virgin mc's but they really get on my nerves. I'm not talking about the jealousy or possesiveness, but how are you gonna be such a loser virgin that takes no action, actively or passively, towards the person you like, then get mad when someone does it better than you.
come mako, don't think about your abusive boyfriend thats been assaulting you the last few times youve been alone with him, cry not and kiss me instead.
Are we fucking serious
I really wish i knew what was so attractive to manhwa creators about these, outwardly displaying, teetering-on lobotomy chic uke's and their anxiety disorder-riddled self hatred, that is somehow always labeled as a kind of unnamed anxiety and nervousness, purely just by what the reader can assume rather than what the creator can write. Wonwoo feels like one in a myriad of examples of these uke that staunchly believe that nothing they do will ever justifiably vy the attraction of anyone, which could absolutely say something beyond the surface, but it usually goes no further than: I've never had a partner and my parents were abusive. Incredibly invigorating stuff going on. This medium is half visual but also half dialogue, so it's always just kind of disappointing when the latter half doesn't feel as cared for, in favour of blushing and size difference.
I wanna leave some room to sit with opinions on the writing and story so far since not much has happened but like the other 2 works from songhyel but god do they know how to draw things that actually feel sexy or erotic(honestly not just in this work but also lovesick dog and ouroboros too). The cheek peeking below the briefs, a shot lingering on his nipple but not the focus, the bulge through his briefs too. Idk where or how seonghyel got their intel but this is good shit
outright i did not think this was good. Felt like a lot of ignorance wrapped up in a shallow plot, like with the strange racial callouness, having a misunderstanding of islam and a really poorly executed use of incest as trauma. Azam's character doesnt feel like it goes past being used as a vehicle for sex and trauma, and once hes placed outside of those settings hes either flat or a weird fledgling of a stereotype. Personally dont care for the kind of possessive traits tokio ends up showing. And the brother.... him being showed at all, postured as this handsome guy who can easily be thrown aside in terms of plot despite the horrible things we did to azam just made the story feel like its something the authors into(not making any accusations, it just feels so out of nowhere that its hard to figure out what motivated them to add it at all outside of personal interest)
my pride woulda made that fast comment bring the demonism out bro, after taking how long tch
by way of freedom of expression, anyone can write anything, but it will never not strike me as odd how so many sincere romance plots write relationships with someone underage and an established adult, when it would make virtually no difference to the plot if the minor was also just a young adult, like a university student. Everything would play out the exact same and no one would be a criminal. Also bothered cos the dynamic in this relationship is what i want for so many "strong uke" who have overbearing tops, this couldve been great
wasn't a whole point of contention in this plot that the uke cant get off without it being painful cos he can't feel anything? They're having the most normal sex and he's not numb to the sensations. Like if we're meant to believe him growing feelings or trust in gyuwon is what's breaking down these mental blocks hes put in place over years of hook ups, the communication of that is all on the shoulders of readers interpretation through some vague gesturing at the problem. Like oh yeah isn't it so obvious the power of love was going to fix the problem?
as with all ABO media I'm sure this one, too, shall find a way to skirt around this narratively. But every time the social cultural treatment of omegas, in universe, is just misogyny repackaged, it makes listening to the alphas that love them so much for being "different" pmo
