Honestly, this shit is confusing but in my opinion it may be the point, like how Han twisting and turning words to avoided getting caught. And his novel could be his way of journaling to help with his PTSD

For once IT ACTUALLY GETS BETTER. I stopped reading this back then when I tried skimming it (the first smut scene). But after that, MC actually has a brain for once and can actually make a plan.
