It's the same: anyone who goes to Duat dies, and anyone who dies goes to Duat.

For example, both Osiris and Anubis each died once they willingly entered Duat.

Anubis died by going to Duat, according to what he says at the end of chapter 18 and his flashback in chapter 19: he went to the Nile river and swam until he reached the river of Duat, I think (I don't remember exactly where I read it, but IIRC, I read somewhere that the Nile and the river in Duat are somehow connected).

Osiris only had to give up his role as god of life first, because the god of life was the only god who was completely unable to enter Duat and was unable to die. We see in chapter 45 that he gave up his position as god of life in order to enter Duat and follow Seth, whom he mistakenly thought was already there (if Osiris hadn't given up his position as god of life, he wouldn't have been able to enter).

and maybe it was given to Seth in an attempt to satisfy the souls' grudges/ to restrain Seth? (〜￣△￣)〜

But he's basically done that already, when he tricked Seth into giving Anubis that curse on his arm. That's why Seth says in chapter 38: "If I get rid of Osiris, Anubis will probably vanish along with him (since Osiris' flower, that is keeping Anubis alive, will wither if Osiris disappears). But, if I give up everything (including, the wish to destroy Osiris) and go to Duat , Anubis will continue to live." That's when Seth found out thanks to Isis that Anubis' life was in Osiris' hands even *before* he gave him the curse on his arm, as Anubis had only been living on borrowed time ever since his suicide attempt (from when Anubis killed himself after fighting with Seth, ending up in Duat and meeting Osiris there) and the only thing keeping him alive ever since then (and which Osiris had been using in order to be able to repeatedly possess' Anubis body) had been the flower that Osiris gave to Anubis, back then.
