Honestly i love the concept of this manhwa

The dad did all of those stuff, trying to stray his son from becoming a hunter because he dont want his son to become one and get hurt.
His method is bad, and yes he is still a bad father. But you cant blame me for liking a complex character. Characters like this dad is RARE.

What is there to comprehend With how he's portrayed in so little chapters, he's clearly a bitch. No joke, he neglected his kid? He's unsupportive and overall just don't grasp care. He shut off any material that could help mc bc he wants him to fail. He's certainly a complex character but tell me what do you even comprehend from him that was observed from the manhwa?
Sorry I'm itching to reply cos my dad acts this way but 50x worse, and to chalk it up to "oh he's complex you guys just don't get it" makes YOU look dumb. Youre throwing words around because you think a character being complex means you should like them. Not to mention he's the most surface level character I've seen so far in this manhwa. If he had an inch of thought in his head, hed know that if you deter your kid from doing something by shaming them, they'll be MORE inclined to do it. Kids are rebellious by nature, and the more you deny them validation, the more rebellious they become we KNOW this, it's not rocket science. If I asked you to explain what media literacy and what a complex character is, without searching it up you'd be absolutely STUMPED. you can't be surprised people respond to a condescending comment that isn't even right with hostility. Also dads like this are rare because in shonen as a whole, most times they don't focus on any character that isn't in the main characters age range. What does rareness prove? UEGHHH Okay i cant be the only one. She and him used to be very close. She used tonprotect him, but ends up getting abused worsed than him before "dissapearing". Getting abused afterwards, he only wantwd to meet his noona again since the noona in his memories saved him before dissapearing out of nowhere.
After 10 years, he can finally meet her again! Only Now, that noona no longer wants fo meet him.

I’m thinking the same thing. Though I would say I was quick to judge becuase I’m skeptic about it all but seeing this,,, it clearly shows he had more opportunities as well since he said that he would go to kindergarten and most likely had more “freedom” than Haesol as she was kept more indoors as her flashbacks entail that she yearn to go outside, like basically a shut in. Especially concerning enough, she didn’t know how to read at such a young age, and her brother had the opportunity to teach it to her. Crazy stuff.
They both have some fucky trauma and I can’t wait for more of their backstory to be revealed . Love the angst
