I started reading yaoi at 12/13 so I can't tell you to stop reading it or that it's wrong... And of course, age does not equal maturity!
But!
How I percieve yaoi has changed a lot over the years! When I first started reading yaoi, I didn't really see it as just fiction.
It was sort of a weird type of validation and 'proof' that I support the LGBT......
