I wonder why some people bother to translate Korean Webtoon that some Scan Group already working on, when they don't understand Korean and then give threatening note to the reader 'I don't understand Korean but I still took my busy time to upload this, I don't have time to clean etc, if I see one person complaining about the quality, I'm gonna drop it'. If you are gonna half-assed and butthurt about it, better don't start anything, what's the point reading something that doesn't even make sense. There are a lot of decent Scan group out there who can provide a good quality translation but never ask for compliment, they even open for any criticism, and their side note always so funny that make the story even more interesting, some people even reading the story just for the translator memes and notes.
I really don't get it, whenever I read Yaoi or Shoujo, the MC still madly in love with the trash ML who treat them like shit and choose to stay in that toxic relationship with their own choice. I mean, even if someone treat me like a Queen, it's easy for me to fall out love, If someone cheat on me even though they choose me over the cheater, I would say 'No thanks'. Forgiveness is one thing but to be together again with the one who hurt you is another thing.
EXACTLY- it pisses me off so much because the characters ALWAYS “forgive” the characters that do shit to them even tho they dont deserve to be forgiven and havent done anything new to make the other person forgive them
exactly i dont get it and it makes me so mad how theyre always so easily forgiven but it also makes me feel powerful and like a villian cause i always think if someone hurt me and wanted me back i would literally break their heart into pieces
IKR, it piss me off how they just magicly forgiven. Even more sickening is some reader always blame the victim for causing misunderstanding through harmless means, is being cold, indifferent or weak such a great sin that you deserved to be abused, insulted and humiliated. And they always justified the ML abuse with 'Don't judge him, he has his own reason'. IDGAF if the ML had a sad childhood trauma, being hurt doesn't make it okay for you to hurt others. I bet if the ML is some ugly, fat old man not some hot sexy hunk they would the first to throw a brick.

Japanese BL : Too cliche, it become boring
Korean BL : Too much drama, it become emotionally draining
LOL that's me too. I dont know if this helps but what I tend to do is mix some genres up. For example, if I get tired of BL, I go to Josei genre, and then if i get tired again, I go to action or horror, or I go back to BL and so on.
Chinese BL: Too nonexistent, no steam

nah this happens really often to me too; i’ve been in a reader’s block for manga for a while now
when this happens, i normally just wait a few weeks or a month until the urge to read comes back. Plus, that way you can stock up updates for any ongoing things you like. Maybe try switching up hobbies for a bit— try new genres (seinen always hypes me up again) or other things. Rn i’m just reading novels or gaming until i get over the block :’)

to ease my limit I for now switched my thirst to some bromance or any misunderstanding mc for the changes, for example like for bromance I read TCF or Omniscient Reader, and the shoujo one such as tearmoon of the empire and when the villainess love, four of them has a funny mc where they act so selfless but in truth they're having a chaos in their mind, but others interpret it different (≧∀≦)

At least some Korean Webtoon have English Legal site, but there is none for Webnovel, but many people still buy the Korean version, though they need to use MTL, even going as far to screenshot each page and use Papago to translate it one by one, see not everyone who read it in illegal site is broke. And as a a matter of fact, it became free after a while in Korean legal site, of course some site make it impossible to read even the raw cause you need Korean ID to log in, and can't use google translate either.
