problematic prince is the first one along its novel, and oh boy! does the mc go through hell almost the entire time from literally almost everyone in the story minus grandma and lisa aka her own maid (aka the only two characters that aren’t pieces of shit)

if you decided to stick with it, be warned the ml is such a fucking snake from the get go and never even tells the mc why he married her, ‘she’ finds out on her own entirely on accident and he isn’t even apologetic when she confronts him later

but he ‘does’ deeply love her albeit it’s a slow subtle development and he has some pretty unhealthy habits (such as love bombing and thinking giving somebody a shit ton of gifts they never asked for or wanted is one of the many ways to express love)

another warning is of the baby arc if you read up to it, oh god the baby arc specifically will fuck you up and make you wanna personally sucker the ml in the throat during and afterward

as of the current season they finally decided for the ml to grow a pair of balls when the very emotionally fragile traumatized mc basically says fuck this and without warning leaves him

he’s finally grovelling for her, but christ it was long overdue

next recommendation is the villain’s savior, right from the start you feel so fucking bad for the ml, the whole premise is that mc was reading the novel the ml is from and felt so horrible for him that she got suddenly summoned into the book and is determined to save him this time around

ml had every valid reason to say fuck everyone besides the mc from the start, completely valid crashout if you ask me
