guys am i wrong for saying that scandalous wedding has grooming/sa in it? when i say that i refer to the fact that the top is aware of how ‘unaware’ asha is and sees that as an ‘issue he’s had since we were kids’ like he purposely demoted asha as a punishment for not accepting the proposal and begging to go back. and lied to him since they were kids about whats ‘normal’ (referring to the kissing, nibbling, biting, holding hands).
oh and i said it was grooming bc theres a 6 year difference meaning the top at the ages of 14 and up knew right from wrong yet still continued kissing, sucking, biting, lying to asha at 8….or even older at 16 asha was 10, 17 asha was 11, 18 asha was 12 and so on so forth. i know the story is for and giggles but the least we can do is be honest bout whats going on.
im not dissing the story or the author i was just saying that if u cant identify grooming/sa dare i even say borderline abusive behavior that u shouldnt read bl/yaoi w those topics bc u are mentally unaware of the situations going on in the story?
i usually encourage more reading but it was frightening see them brush off the people that called it out for its ‘grooming’ topics.
i guess if i had to change anything i said to them i would change the fact that i told them not to read bl/yaoi and would instead encourage them to research the different types of grooming and harmfully toxic behaviors in a person obsessed w someone they want as a romantic partner?
idk i feel like in 2026 we cant coddle ppl that are either oblivious or outright in denial about these themes in bl/yaoi

I’ve no idea what story you’re talking about but even if there wasn’t an age gap, if one character is being deceived by another to get what they want from them, I think that constitutes grooming, regardless of ages.
stuff like that is why I can't get behind the "we're all adults who know better here" defense of some of the heinous crap out there. nevermind all the minors around, not all adults even know better! taking it seriously and wanting to talk about it is bare minimum engagement as a reader, but people want to act like you want to bring back the Hays Code and censor things when you bring an iota of analysis and critical thought to stories.

Hunterverse is similar to guideverse but without guides and the whole compability bs. All just hunters with different sets of powers and capabilities like fighters, supports, healers tank or whatever depending on what the author wants.
