If you have trust issues that on you fr, juzt leave her tf alone if you think she has ulterior motives and he never actually listens to her. I feel like he just hates women but can’t stand on business whenever you confront him on his weirdness. Ok, take a seat this will be long. As you know, Ryeong can’t open his eyes, and his memories have been sealed away. Jae is in a similar situation, he has no memory of who he was before either. As the story unfolds, we find out that Jae is actually the Prince of Winter, and that he and Ryeong first met when Ryeong was still a child. Jae found little Ryeong injured, protected him, and took care of him, but Jae was attacked, so they were forced to part ways. Later, Ryeong ascended, and his master sealed both his eyes and his memories. Even so, he and Jae kept crossing paths over the years, without Ryeong ever knowing who Jae really was. After Ryeong was cast down, he ended up in the Winter Court, which is basically Jae’s domain, and that’s where the two of them eventually started a physical relationship, until Jae came under pursuit and Ryeong left the Winter Court to live among humans. Years later, they finally meet again in Chapter 1. By then, neither of them remembers anything about their past, yet they’re still inexplicably drawn to each other. Anyway, it’s a VERY long story, but honestly, it’s so worth reading. The whole thing is basically one huge slow-burn reunion without either of them realizing they’ve already loved and lost each other before.

The relationship didnt have time to naturally grow and if it did( without the rape) this wouldve been one of my FAVORITES. The characters were also cool af!!! cliff’s backstory was kinda mushed together like they wanted him to be mad religious but when you get failed by multiple religions ypu start distrusting religion not the other way around. I think maybe if they had him in it since he was a kid or yk his sister n parents died or he hot seperated from them, then he got into this religion. It wouldve been a lot more cohesive and would still be logical and build his character even more. I do like his tattos though ITS SOOOO FUCKING COOL!!!! I feel like maybe instead of different religions maybe just different people who he used to trust. Or maybe instead of him tattoing them just drawing them? Idkk but I REALLLY FUCKING LOVE THE TATSSSSS!!!! I really wanna rewrite this story cuz its SOOOOO GOOOD!!!!
