Anyone else feel like shounen ai manga or just BL mangas in general have been neglected lately? Is it possible that there’s just a shift in the Japanese industry or something? A few years ago there’d used to be a new page of updated chapters in shounen ai almost every day. But with the rise in popularity for smutty manhwas I feel like that’s the only thing getting translated now. There’s just something about a short and sweet story with 5 chapters and a side chapter that hits different. Like please this site is called mangago not manhwago.
Ikr! I think manhwa becoming more famous but what really sad is manhwa that become famous have toxic af relationship (mostly bl). You open tiktk, yt, Twitter, 80% of em abt manhwa, 10% for manhua and 10% for manga.
People mostly like to read coloured stories these and it's also a fast read for example it's takes me 2/3 hours to finish 50/60 chapters of a manhwa when for a manga it need 2/3 hours to finish 20/25 chapters, these are some of the reasons why they kinda don't read manga and it's sad cause i feel like the warm feeling i get from a 5 ch maga I don't get that feeling until i read 50 ch of a manhwa. Everyone should really read manga like they read manhwa.. that's how i feel im not really sure how is it for everyone else
